Someone mentioned Chadwells offense—how did we do trying to Out Bamaing Bama and Georgia for that matter? The next guy we hire needs to be an offensive innovator.
They struggle with passing offenses. Like Kiffin and Freeze. Not a new age triple option with some passing.

Somewhere out there in Knoxville lurks an enraged Gump with the money for high dollar lawyers, a hatred for Tennessee, and he knows where the bodies are buried.

This will get nasty. Worth it to see his ass headed south.

And we probably have the ability to make sure he never coaches again. Compromises will be made.

Not a great handling of the matter if his lawyer is providing an accurate account of the way it played out.

Lawyers are supposed to zealously advocate for their clients. Expect the rosiest picture that can possibly be given without outright lying.

Note that Pruitt's lawyers are trying to create a narrative that is **supposed** to sound bad for the university. It's not supposed to be a fair two sided conversation. And, the letter is intended to nothing more than to make people like you, sports fans, or other casual observers, to begin to change their opinion on events in their clients favor.

Everytime you read any sort of press release, know that, especially when it's from an attorney. Your opinion is the currency that is being negotiated.

Sometimes players get played.

What does this mean?
What we need is actual, strong, quality leadership. Are you implying Plowman and maybe Boyd are short timers as a result of this.

At some point we need to allow these folks who make these decisions to gut it out and see their work through.

Damn Weezie, even I couldn’t do that. How did it go? By the way, we are full on firing new AD and most importantly, HC mode.
Meh, everything is "stable". Saw 4 different doctors, had multiple labs, and got my flu shot. Go back next month for the important visit, my liver doctor. Plus tests.

So how was Chaney from a personality standpoint point. LOL!

He called me a dumbass and tried to have me thrown out. I convinced him to ask Lane if he would sign my hat and take a picture which he did automatically. LK was awesome. And Cheney was exactly how you think he would be.

I would guess UT expects to settle. They usually do. It may not even get past a demand letter and nobody outside the tower will be any wiser. I'm sure UT ran the numbers and calculated this to be the most financially favorable alternative.
They will settle most definitely. Almost always the case when neither party wants the dirty laundry aired.

It’s part of what I do every day. Lawyer demands full amount or even more. We say we’ll give you 500k and not air out dirty laundry. Goes back and forth a few times and eventually we meet somewhere in the middle

Yep. Almost always. Nobody really wants to go to court because that's a very uncertain outcome. And schools don't want discovery because all kinds of things are put on the record. For sure, UT doesn't want discovery. They'll pay for silence.

Kiffin is a good coach, but can’t see it happening. They are going to hire someone who they believe can come in and re-establish the Tennessee way. Not the Alabama way, not the USC West way. Imho this points to Chadwell.

Someone a few days ago mentioned one of the vetted head coaches was fine w Steele as DC. We know coaches have been vetted, AV said as much. New AD can select the reigning national coach of the year that is also a Tennessee boy and has no personal ties to NCAA issues? Seems more than a plausible option.
It seems the most recent macho thing to call wimps is cucks. I can't think of a more pitiful cuck than one who goes drooling after a woman who publicly emasculated you and ran off giggling at your plight. Going after Kiffin is exactly that situation. Besides, this chick wasn't really very hot.
