I don't like the optics of basically forcing a whole staff on a coach. Steele/Garner maybe Graham are fine but 9-10 guys isn't good.
I agree.
Let the head coach interview any remaining staff but give him full control for hiring everyone he is responsible for without any influence from the administration. I didn’t always think this way.

Just dug this gem up from December 2017:

“Honestly, Pruitt is a C hire. Good recrruiter, but no guarantee he can bring in a top staff. Has potential off the field problems. Hard to get along with. Carries a high risk of NCAA issues. May struggle on O without a top notch OC.”

Have to say, I got pretty close.
Who said that?

Donde/Randy stepped up and came through. I am now satisfied in the direction from the top for the first time in 20 years. Would love Charles Davis as AD. Yes, he could do the job very well. Add him in with Ingram and Gilbert.

BOB, Herman, Napier, Chadwell. I think Kiffin is playing us. This restart with a new AD might bring Napier back into the discussion along with several others we don't even know about yet.

Yeah probably, but that also means they'd need a spot. I mean even with my orange tinted glasses on, how many of our guys are going to get legit shots to start at another SEC school?

Eric Gray, Henry T...both can just head to the NFL after next season, and will be foundation pieces here regardless of the next hire.

So far the only guys that left who I think went to better spots are Deandre Johnson to Miami (not sure if he'll be starting though) & Ty Chandler going to UNC. Both of them though were grad transfers who don't have to deal with any red tape regardless.
If Gray and Henry T are involved in the investigation, I doubt they play another down at UT. We can't play guys who could be ruled ineligible by the NCAA. That's just dumb for the new coach.

@Atlanta VOL - what are your thoughts/impression of Plowman?

I have heard something that I would like your opinion on - She is all business, a total professional, says the right things, puts up the right public persona, but behind closed doors is willing to do what it takes to win (if you know what i mean).

Thoughts?
Do you really expect a candid answer to that at this juncture?
Or at any other juncture in a public forum......
