That’s what I’ve been told. I also live in the Memphis area and have someone with connections to Liberty staff that have been saying Hugh. I don’t know any of this to be true or in the works. Just what I’ve been told.

That's a stupid question, probably why insiders don't field it. Peyton's legacy to UT without his playing career is enough to cement him as an all-time ambassador. Multi-millionaire who regularly donates 7 figures to the university, even donates thousands to local HS for various reasons has been doing it for years too.

I would hope Peyton stays in the background if he's involved in this search. His name is as good as it gets with regard to UT. If his name is attached to the next head coach and that coach fails, it's a no win situation for him. People will turn on him like the plague. If you don't believe me, just look at what's being said about Fulmer right now. Peyton will stay in the shadows if he has any sense.
