Yes under nearly every circumstance except overthrowing said government via violence.

Excuse me for a moment. Maybe I have lost my American History neurons.Heh. Clever. But the problem with such logic is that we overthrew the *British* government - not our own government- that ruled us a colony, so the analogy is fundamentally flawed.
