I’ve now read all of your posts - interesting that you claim connection with Phil (call him Phillip). I have great respect for Coach Fulmer but completely disagree he thoroughly vetted Pruitt before hiring him. If he had, Freeze would seem like an “angelic“ hire right now compared to what Pruitt was back in 2017. Because of the situation Coach Fulmer was thrown into and his football prowess, I gave the Pruitt hire a chance. What has happened now verifies that he was a bad hire in 2017 and continues to be a bad head coach now and I don’t just mean X’s and O’s. It seems that we/UT may be headed for some sanctions and if that is the case, I would give Coach Freeze and UT Football a chance to rehab their respective reputations together - under a very watchful eye.

If they tried to screw him just to save money, then they all deserve to go down with him. I am a Vol, but that slimy backstabbing **** sickens me.

He made stout demands when he was hired and his power has grown with his reputation and record. But he came to Bama with the creds, he was their top choice, he was open to the opportunity and they were in make-it-happen mode.

This would make way to much sense for us to do something this smart.

If we had a coach that won us 5, possibly soon to be 6, NCs, I'd be all for giving him whatever control he asked for.

And yes, I know he has 6 NCs, but the first one was at LSU. I'm talking about a coach winning that many at one school. If we had a coach like that, I'd say give him whatever he asked for.

So why would Napier think he’s earned this? I’m assuming that from earlier posts about his demands. Saban had won a title at LSU. Track record of winning at a high level. Napier hasn’t proven anything. Sure he has won... in the Sun Belt.

He’s already been interviewed per people I’ve talked to (and insiders on this board.)

My guess he will have another meeting this week in which they present their findings to him.
