Jeff Fisher comments on interest in the UT job

Fisher never even crossed my mind. My sports app (The Score) sent me an alert about Fisher and Tennessee and I instantly thought wow Vrabel and Fisher! Had to do a double take and read it again. As a VOLS coach?!! I wouldn't mind it one bit. Especially him coaching the Titans and if he likes being in Tennessee then he would love being a VOL.

I've heard of him being serious and some what comical at the same time so maybe he could coach these young guys the right way without being a total hard butt on them.

3 have coached in college. One hasn’t. 3 are not tied for the most losses.
In the NFL. He was a HC in the NFL for 22 years. Twenty two. Yeah, he lost a lot of games. Because how many coaches last 22 years as a Head coach in the NFL? Very, very few. He also won more than he lost

You do you realize how good of a coach you have to be to coach 22 years in the NFL and be above .500 while doing it, right?

I found it hilarious that this post was like by a poster named @JohnGrudensAgent

Can't ignore excellence my friend.

And...while my client has always appreciated the University of TN and its amazing fans, he still has to work to do in Las Vegas.

Although he would take an extension if offered.

Dam we are screwed if he is a viable candidate. A friend of mine is a well known donor( you all know his name) and he would have a cow.

Older defensive minded coach. Check.

Barely above .500 in the NFL. Check.

Never coached a down in college football as a HC. Check.

Terrible post season record as a HC. Check.

Never recruited. Check.

Sounds like the absolute perfect fit for good ol Phil.
Add---Ok with getting substantial severance package in 3-5 years just to avoid changing what we are accustomed to. 😬

This really could be good on multiple levels. No doubt that Tennessee's fall combined with bama's dynasty has hurt the overall support of this program in Tennessee. I am in Rutherford county and can tell you I know LOTS of kids who are bama fans but their dad's are die hard Vols fans. But what I'll say is those kids are probably bigger NFL/titans fans with college football being 2nd. If you can get an NFL coach, particularly a former Titan's coach that could be good. When it gets to recruiting and X/O's I really don't know how he would do in college but I don't think he would be any worse than what we have now.
