Trump Supporters Gathering in D.C. - Mayor Readies for Those ‘Seeking Confrontation’

Please try and listen this time. Congress does have protection above average citizens. I don't have my own damn police force following me around, congress does. Was burning cities down peaceful, it was reported as much. Yes, I think 100% the people wanted to talk/shout at their elected officials.

I'm listening and trying to have a conversation, but you aren't interested in that, which is why our country is in the state it is in. Nobody wants to have a conversation. You just want to shout and recite your belief in whatever it is without actually engaging the legit question being asked.

I have not once said that burning cities or any type of destruction is peaceful, so that is irrelevant here. In fact, it is quite the opposite and I wouldn't have had any issue with law enforcement shooting and killing those in the act either this summer. I'm consistent in the stance that law and order is needed and that if you refuse to abide by that you have a chance of being shot by police. I'll ask again, and please try and answer what I asked you. At the moment the woman was shot, do you still consider that a peaceful protest? It is yes or no.

Lastly, I respect your stance on thinking everyone was there just to shout, but I disagree that you can be certain of everyone's intentions in an environment like that. It's impossible to know for sure, but one thing I do know is that I have never once thought to myself "I'm about to go have a conversation so I better make sure to have my zip ties with me".

All the guy had to do was close the open door of the office he was protecting while announcing that he would shoot if they entered the office. She was a threat to no one in a hallway.

For the attention and blowback we are seeing. I fully believe that this was planned to give the incoming administration/house/senate ammunition to enact something Patriot Act 2.0ish but it got out of hand.

It hadn't gotten out of hand yet.

My point exactly...but, she was strugling to get through the small top half of the door. Easily taken down with no shots fired.

I've said earlier I'm torn on this one both are to blame but she put herself in the position to get shot.

So walking down the street protesting calls for huge police presence, but committing multiple felonies on federal property is okay and warrants law enforcement helping people down the stairs and taking selfies. I wonder if the people on Tuesday were black if you people would be saying the same thing.

I don’t care who they are or what they look like, they should have been repelled with overwhelming force and power. As should ANTIFA and BLM when they started burning businesses and attacking police. Calling it down the middle.

I saw it reported as lethal by attorney general. The guy was running away, they should've got backup and detained him.

I updated my post. I'm on the fence regarding the incident you reference. At what distance, exactly, does the Taser become "non-lethal"? Is it 16 or 22 feet, depending on the cartridge being used? How does one judge that distance precisely in the heat of the moment? Is not being shot by a "retreating subject" just as lethal as by one that is advancing on you?

Hard for me to say. I wasn't there, but I've been in my share of goat-ropes, and they always move a lot faster than you're ready for.

Wait....officers were in the protest??? Like Capitol hill police, DC police, or a "brother/sister in blue"?
That is what is being claimed today by a Capitol Hill police officer. I think it was daily mail that had the interview and claim.

Oh she was just going to sit up there perched like a bird and squawk and him?

Well, that changes everything. I'm going to go rethink my entire stance now

So then, launching frozen water bottles, rocks, and commercial grade fireworks at LEO's attempting to maintain order justifies the use of deadly force, yes?

Hmmm...
