Tell me why he’s not please.
You’ve got a man who’s respectable and a new face for the program. Is he going to take anything to new heights no but he can put this **** show back together and get it going on the right path.
If he hit Barnes success nobody would complain
Given the source, that "IF" takes on a different meaning. If this is true, I would believe the candidate is either Gus, Marrone or Napier.
Gus because he has no job and has been available to interview for weeks - and the fact that he hasn't had any interviews published anywhere leads me to believe he's being very quiet.
Marrone because he just became available.
Napier because Steven Godfrey has suggested Napier believed he had the Tennessee job lined up and turned down Auburn because of it.
I hope this is right.Listening to Basilio, I'm not sure it's as dysfunctional as it appears. He believes that the new admin over there, especially Boyd and Plowman, know what they're doing. he believes we're going to Texas this thing and try to have our guy in place. I think making Friend pay his buyout shows there is some different leadership over there.
I live here in Birmingham. Watched every painful year he has been associated with the Auburn program. Listened to his interviews. Watched Auburn put a leash around him so he couldn't hire or fire assistants without approval. Literally EVERY Auburn fan I know wanted him gone BEFORE this season. His record except two outlier seasons screams mediocrity. His HS gimmick offense has been figured out by almost literally all defensive coordinator. He ain't hitting Barnes success...
I've met the man. Was nice and cordial enough, but, I can't say this loudly enough...
DO.NOT.WANT.
Remember the guy who everyone thought was the real Travis Stephens? LolI mean, the username IS @peerless98 so... obviously it is
