Make a dang decision and move on. This is getting crazy. We either need to fill positions and get to transfers or fire the staff and get to finding a new coach. This is insanity waiting this long and watching all these moves take place.
This. We're shooting ourselves in the head with indecision. There's important work to be done. Either announce Pruitt is staying and hire some assistants to get rolling, or fire him and announce a replacement so that person can get the ball rolling. No transfers are going to want to come here if they have no idea who their coaches will be.

How bad are you dying to be the voice of reason? Lol

First: I fixed your post.

I believe he’s staying. I don’t wish it to happen, but all signs point to yes.

Nevertheless, I’m not beating the “he’s staying” drum nearly as hard as countless of people are beating the “he gone” drum.

Sorry if that is preventing this thread from being an echo chamber circle jerk.

Now go put your cup on.

Was curious...Gray & Ty finished top 15 in YPC, and of those top 15 if you remove the sub 100 carries guys only 11 guys were ahead of Ty, and one was Gray.
Chandler has made some nice plays here even on special teams. Stop acting like you wouldn’t want him as at least a 3rd string RB lol

I'm torn. Listening to the VQ podcast has me feeling a certain way. Is it really a good idea to fire Pruitt this year?

Imagine firing Pruitt and then Henry, Crouch, Bailey, Wright, Key, Beckwith, Hyatt, and others transfer and Brooks asks out of his LOI. Talk about setting back the program. This roster is just an average roster right now, you're killing the new coach if that happens. The new coach then starts with a significant deficit in roster numbers, a serious lack of talent, and very little time to add transfers, especially any good ones, who can help. Such a UT thing for this to be happening when that transfer rule is about to take affect. Just like waiting until 2017 to fire butch the first year of the early signing period.
The only one you named that would hurt based off of performance is Hyatt and maybe Henry but in my opinion he didn't play all that well this year especially in coverage.

If we wait and fire Pruitt next year recruiting will take a major hit and those player you mentioned stock could be higher to transfer or even leave for the NFL early.

Meh. He gave his all. Would likely be more valuable in an offense with a talented OC.

As is, he’s a progress stopper IMO.

Small impressed me more this year. EG is set. And Both Evans and Brown can likely come in and be day one contributors.

It'd be nice if he stayed, but I'm not torn up that's he leaving. Lots of depth at that position, and I've always thought he makes for a better receiver than actual RB. Maybe we just misused him, and if so, hopefully he has better luck wherever he lands. Not angry at him for sure.

Now if someone like Toot entered the portal, that would tear me up.

Hell call up Don Mahoney, we averaged over 200 YPG with him as the OL coach here. Once he left Butch's offense imploded.

I'm not...I said earlier I think he never got the workload he deserved here lol

For as bad as our team was this season and playing an all SEC schedule I thought him finishing top 15 was pretty damn solid, teams didn't have to worry about our passing game at all and we had 2 RBs churn out over 4.5 a clip despite it.
