Because I watched him play..and got lockdown from grinding my teeth so hard over his play in a lot of games..that's why.

Plus...I didn't say he was a bad QB, I said he was mediocre, and that was all that team really needed...hell Crappabama won a crap ton of NCs the last ten years with good, serviceable, yet mediocre QBs...there is nothing wrong with saying that.
Mediocre is pretty close to bad. Agree to disagree. I know I am not going to change your mind and you are not going to change mine. Go Vols!

I'm going to take my shot in the dark. I'll say we have an announcement at 3pm on Thursday that he is gone. Late Monday night the new hire gets leaked. Tuesday at 12pm we get the official announcement of the hire. Friday of next week, players from the coaches previous school start entering portal and 1 of them follow him.
I'll allow it!

I think he was a good QB that became great. Not the greatest. His statue and street say otherwise.

Def had some NFL HOF's around him.
Tee's got a street named after him too.

Tee was a good, not great QB, but he played the most important position on the field for a national title-winning team at a school that hadn't won a title in almost 50 years, hence the recognition he gets. Great QBs tend to elevate the play of their entire offense and make their teammates look really good; I think Tee was kind of the opposite where a really good O line, running game, and WRs allowed him to efficiently distribute the ball and look good. I don't really remember offensive drives that year where Tee really pushed the ball down the field with his arm and led offensive efforts where we just blew opposing defenses off the field.

I don't think Tee was that team's MVP (that'd probably have to be Al Wilson), but he was a solid player. If Tee was a poor decision-maker, they probably don't win the title that year.
