I mean, they have to say something either way at this point. Just too much speculation with hot seats, coaching hot boards, hot strippers, and escorts, etc.

But i have no doubt that they are sitting around a stupid big table saying, we don't need to say anything, he is our coach and nothing has changed - why should we announce that.

Let's just go about our business of sucking and not having a clue.

It's what we do best

It feels like a lose-lose.

How many have earned their stay? Not many.

On the other hand, what are the odds of a successful lame duck season with half of the staff being replaced?

If they want Pruitt to succeed, might as well keep continuity. I mean, it's year 3...this is HIS staff he wanted. Staff turnover seems like a surefire way to fail.
I actually agree with your post outside of Chaney. I say keep as much of it as you can and then change philosophies to a more power run/spread with more mesh tendencies

I'd like to think they are staring at screens and one of them goes "yall see what Bruin is posting today?"

and another goes "put him on ignore a year ago, been better since"

then a third one goes "he's not on ignore but I just scroll past"

and a fourth goes "utvols88 is by far my favorite @DarthVol1 is a clown for leaving him off his list and his take on Die Hard was spot on. "

While I have every confidence in the administration's ability to **** up an anvil, as the saying goes, there's been too much noise from too many directions for them to be at all comfortable right now. To me, the lack of announcement one way or another tends to indicate that either there's no decision yet, or there is one but the timing of the announcement has some pending trigger, like getting certain ducks in a row.

Or I may be just giving them too much credit.

The question isn't how many will leave, but how many do we really want to stay? And how can we help some of them right out the door?
Speaking solely for myself, I’d prefer maximum contract flexibility so that we don’t feel pot committed to Pruitt with several fresh buyouts after a lost 2021. I’d be willing to put up with mediocre assistant coaches for less sunk cost.

Pruitt will overpay new assistants and we will be in the hole again next year and it will be the same tune again. I'm actually curious how far they will drag us this time.

Infighting, complacency, incompetency and staffers who aren't all-in is another way to fail. There need to be some changes.

Phil pretty much made an announcement when the bowl game was announced 8 days ago
