“I’m thrilled about our football program’s opportunity to compete in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against a great opponent like West Virginia,” Fulmer said. “First, it’s an opportunity to connect with our many fans throughout West Tennessee and expand upon the rich historical links between the Memphis area and UT. We have so much Tennessee family in and around Memphis—especially our medical school and fantastic alumni. And secondly, it’s a tremendous development opportunity for our team and should serve as a primer to spring practice for Coach Pruitt and our returners.

The worst part is there will be a whole new staff under Pruitt which means starting from square one again. Tennessee is going to end up with a bunch of assistants no one wanted and all those guys will get overpriced 3 year deals.

Don’t trust him.

I wonder if there’s a thought to see which assistants leave. If 4+ leave are you more likely to just fire Pruitt?

Can Freeze bring stability in the short term with the players jumping ship and Feb signing versus what's in place now? What's the consensus on here? IMO it's a big way to re-energize the program!

List the players who have jumped ship please and see if any of them were ever gonna play any meaningful snaps here.

Didn’t somebody semi-reliable say something to the affect that if they had to replace too many guys, some of the folks at the top might feel they may as well start over from top down?

Napier 11 wins last year 10 this year (with win today).

Louisiana never had a 10 win season before him.

Rather have Freeze but not a bad consolation prize

Napier has turned down Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Auburn. He’s made it clear the time isn’t right. He likes it in Lafayette.
