Wow I am surprised that anyone would portray the quality of our fans to have fallen that low. Is the majority of our fanbase so dedicated to firing the current coach without a candidate that projects to be a significant upgrade? Not a can't miss, but great chance?

We canned CPF and look where that got us. Kiffin forced us into a bad market and look where that got us with no buyouts only some wasted retention bonuses. We canned Dooley and look where that got us. We canned Butch and look where that got us. Obviously we did not have a firm plan in place in any of those instances. What plan with a high percentage of getting us back to the levels we long for does anybody see now. We at least had a normal revenue stream to support the moves in those years. How do we predict any level of success just completing our last buyouts and not having our normal revenue to enter the market with? Does anybody know of a money guy or group of money guys willing to step up to the levels it would take to hire a guy from the A market in these circumstances? Just don't see how we pull it off without that. Anybody got any encouraging words out of the money guys?

Edited to add.... I have been quarantined for the last week or so and had too much time on my hands. I have typed in more over this period than I should have and promise to give the Vol Nation a break and post less frequently and certainly not in War and Peace length. Good luck to all....

I don’t think you’ll get another statement. Phil already said what he’s gonna say about it when the bowl game was announced. I think you’ll just start seeing assistants hired. It’ll be crickets until then.
