I mean, they have to say something either way at this point. Just too much speculation with hot seats, coaching hot boards, hot strippers, and escorts, etc.If Pruitt is staying do you think there will be an "announcement" of any kind that he is staying?
Hubbs
If he thought Fulmer was in over his head, why do you think he gave him an extension?Yeah, unfortunately fans don't get to hire and fire UT administration. Best guess, Boyd just wants all this to go away. On one side, he probably has angry boosters calling for change. On the other, he has an AD telling him they have the right guy but he just needs more time, and more staff, and yada, yada, yada. I doubt Boyd wants to recognize that Fulmer is over his head as AD. The perils of being the boss.
HE DOESNT. HE CARES ABOUT HIS LEGACY MORE AND MAKING MONEY OFF US FANS NO MATTER WHAT. THEY DONT CAREMy question is why does Fulmer think Pruitt can get the job done? Does he think he will be the last coach to ever win 10 games here so he sees the university as a perennial 7-5, 6-6 or worse type of program or what? I honestly don’t get it...
It feels like a lose-lose.The question isn't how many will leave, but how many do we really want to stay? And how can we help some of them right out the door?
I’m hoping that fulmer knows how important a coaches future is in terms of recruiting and that if it was for sure he was keeping Pruitt.... he would be more vocal about it and shut down the chatterI mean, they have to say something either way at this point. But i have no doubt that they are sitting around a stupid big table saying, we don't need to say anything, he is our coach and nothing has changed - why should we announce that.
Let's just go about our business of sucking and not having a clue.
It feels like a lose-lose.
How many have earned their stay? Not many.
On the other hand, what are the odds of a successful lame duck season with half of the staff being replaced?
If they want Pruitt to succeed, might as well keep continuity. I mean, it's year 3...this is HIS staff he wanted. Staff turnover seems like a surefire way to fail.
