I’m sure he’s tried too but that’s my point. If a leaders voice is being tuned out that leader has failed.

None of the higher ups expected to be in this position 10 weeks ago. A serviceable qb and we are not in this position. For that reason I continue to expect Pruitt to survive and coach next year. We have a better chance of getting a top tier coach and giving him a better roster this time next year if Pruitt does not rebound in 21.

That's just simply not true. Yes a handful will without a doubt transfer, but a new coach will still keep the majority. If you keep Pruitt another year, you lose out on the insanely talented 22 class. Cannot happen.

I watched the equivalent of a half. Goodell obviously placed the call to the officials pre-game. It was so obvious on multiple plays. Add in Vrabel falling asleep on the long run when the guy ran out of bounds 30+ yards from where the officials marked it. The official was standing on the sideline in front of the ball carrier and did not call it. What was as bad or worse was the uncalled penalties. GB O-line were tackling Titans out in the open all night without calls.

If I had been Vrabel I would have called Goodell at half time, loaded up the team and departed GB. Gave the guys more rest for the Texans game.

Then won't the young kids just leave next year? Waiting a year won't change this possibility, just delay it. All while the 22 class is damaged.

meh. if the indecision is as it's described, then i doubt anything happens, and you have to wonder what they're really gonna don in making any adjustments to the staff....and what it means headed in to next year, and beyond.

it's not impossible it turns around, but it likely requires pruitt changing some things he's not ever been willing to change or had a need to, so he's believed these as absolute truths, as far as his basic philosophy goes.

i think as usual, this ends relatively badly, and in 5 or 6 years we'll all be looking back at this just like we do the end of the 2011, 2015 seasons...woulda/coulda/shoulda.

it just doesn't sound like we have anyone over there that leads. a "get behind me, i know the way" guy....just a lot of indecision and uncertainty, as usual.

Relationships with hs kids and their coaches are cultivated over time. It’s not plug and play as your post suggests. Part of what happened to butch was he botched those relationships in many cases. Pruitt has not. To think a new guy can come in and just grab those 22 kids is short sided. This is not a Madden game.

Forty deux.

I recall Questers used to meet at old Bailey's in West Knox. Was living in Knoxville at time. Never could quite compell myself to meet up at that crap hole. Lloyd braun, Cajun, rednav, man the .25 was a wild place back then.

Did used to do VQ cookouts and pre game stuff. Honestly id rather watch paint dry than socialize.
