Funny how people think that just because he has baggage From years ago that he can’t come to Tennessee. Or that the NCAA gave a “warning” to Auburn about hiring him.

If Saban died yesterday and Bama wanted Freeze, would anyone bat an eye? Would anyone or anything stop them from throwing a finger to the powers that be?

No. We shouldn’t allow ourselves to be walked on either

I think the only reason people are worried is under some false pretenses. The NCAA might be getting ready to drop the hammer on Pearl. That might be a major sticking point for AU not hiring Freeze. The situation at TN isn’t on the level of what’s going on at Auburn.

I saw a post in another thread that articulated the situation and made an analogy of 2017 (the year we kept Butch Jones’ dumbass one year too long) and 2021.

We are wasting time at this point. Pruitt isn’t going to magically get it. I’m sorry but anyone who thinks Pruitt should be given another year is also an idiot.

Hugh Freeze wants to be here.

We have talent NOW.

Why don’t we give Hugh Freeze a chance with the cupboards full? This is simple ****.

How do we make the point to the athletic department that it’s so incredibly obvious what we need to do, and sitting around doing nothing is unacceptable?

Napier would be so underwhelming.

He’s a good coach in his conference but can he recruit against Mullen, Saban, and Smart? Can he out coach those guys on any given day?

Freeze would be the best bet considering he’d crawl through broken glass to coach here. He deserves the job.

I'm not Freeze supporter, but I feel he's paid his dues. He knows his mistakes and wouldn't make the same mistakes twice. Plus, he could provide a much need spark to the offense. Cheney is not innovative. Think of how Florida used their slot receiver against us. Crosses, digs, picks, whatever it took to get him open. Only thing we could do was attempt to throw deep. That's it.

Go back and look at Donnie Tyndall here just a few years back.... got here then got nailed for previous actions... Did not get us on probation but did have to go on a search again. But the bigger issue is that they will be watching. Also, look at Bruce... got whacked here, and now AU is in hot water for stuff he was involved in down there. The watchful eye follows you after you get hammered.

There's a huge difference, though, between wanting our team to win and participating in a mass delusion based on shoddy information from unconfirmed sources.

It's seriously like this is an alternate reality LARP board sometimes.

You seem to misunderstand. I can’t speak for everyone but my desire to see Hugh Freeze in orange is based on nothing more than a desire to see Tennessee return to greatness. Plus I just really like Freeze and want to see him get another chance. I don’t even know what shoddy information you’re talking about
