You are looking rather foolish thinking Freeze is going to be the HC of UT. Nobody except a small and vocally loud section of the fan base wants him. Give it up.

27-31 overall record

Tennessee is 14-28 in SEC games over the past 5 years........in the East
39-25 overall record

Improved EVERY team he coached from year ONE.

Freeze is a heck of a coach.

He was Butch Jones 2.0 at Ole Miss in terms of “success.” Beat Saban twice and then has a winning record at a non-conference school. Nothing to see here. Vols need an outsider to drain the Haslam orange swamp.

That’s a ridiculous statement. I would wager well over half the UT fan base would be ecstatic with the hire and probably a lot higher than half.

He is not coming here. Did you see the tweet about the NCAA warning to Auburn about hiring Freeze. There’s a reason for that.

This is where I’m at with Napier (and Chadwell). He’s an intriguing candidate for sure but I’m not “sold” on him yet. Looking forward to watching his bowl game Saturday. Don’t know anything about his style.

Freeze’s record at Ole Miss was pedestrian without The two Alabama’s wins. The Liberty record this year is because he is playing against a much softer schedule than the D1 talent which is on his roster. Sure he is better than Pruitt. I would hope we could do better than Freeze.
He is far from the program savior many believe.

Who informed you I ”thought” anything? Hugh Freeze is the best coach available by a long shot. I didn’t suggest he’d be hired. Actually, quite the opposite which is why UT is in the mess it’s in.

The game Saturday is one I’m looking forward to as well. It should be a fun one to watch. Both coaches are ones many Vols fans would be happy to have, and I think would be happy to be here, but unfortunately they may not get a fair shot if there is an opening.

He is playing with no more than equal talent. He is at Liberty. LIBERTY - which just joined the FBS when Freeze took over and they won a bowl in their first year. He still has FCS players on the roster. I mean come on man.

This, without question he would be the perfect hire right now. But given the past two decades we won’t hire him. And F the NCAA. They are garbage anyway

Sounded like you were pushing for it. Waste of time touting Freeze , if he will not be a candidate here. You might as well praise Saban and Dabo.

He had 16 D1 transfers. 75 % or more of his schedule is cupcakes with inferior athletes compared to what he has on his roster.
