Pruitt "obviously" in trouble

So question, do we have big boosters that post on here ? And what I mean is are there any big boosters who post just to be talking I know they aren’t giving there hand in things but just to be a fan as well or do we know any that read our forums. I know may be a dumb question but asking anyways .

What makes y'all think Meyer has ANY interest in stepping into this dumpster fire? He's reportedly been offered much better jobs and said repeatedly he's not coming back as his health is more important. I don't see it.
He just turned down Texas. That’s more desirable than UT. Forget about Meyer. Infantile dreams.

Oh I agree completely.

If Fulmer and his crew has any say, we will be looking at some retread defensive coordinator or a 3rd tier low level coach again.

Fulmer interviewed Pruit, Tucker, and Steele twice before settling on Pruitt.

Gives everyone something to talk about besides the smoldering garbage pile on the field though.

Sadly I think that's the issue. Fulmer, I respect the hell outta that man, but he's stuck in 1998. I don't think he has it in him to hire a coach that understands today's game or can adapt to the ever-changing process of college football. 3rd down for what.......oh no we run it again!

I hate to see him go but UT HAS to have somebody at the reins that can make good business moves while actually understanding what it takes to be a winner on multiple fronts. I don't think that's Phil anymore.

I don’t believe that at all. I think Fulmer with a full coaching search that he doesn’t have to throw together will surprise people.

He has to own the Pruitt hire but do we think he would have hired a Pruitt type if he had a full 4 quarters to find a new coach? No chance

A metric ton of cash for Urban and the sweet elixir of hope in getting a coach besides Pruitt who may actually win some games of consequence again for the fans.
Urban already said no to a gargantuan offer from Texas. There’s a better chance that your client quits the Raiders to take the UT job.

After losing so much money this year due to covid and greatly reduced Attendance plus the general fan apathy due to the terrible season, I am not sure the athletic department can afford to let Pruitt coach next year. They need a change and a coach that will generate excitement and ticket sales and Pruitt isn't that coach.
They can afford it, the money is there. Whether or not they do anything close to being proactive in resolving our football troubles is a differently thing entirely.

Pass the collection plate. There's thousands on Volnation who would give liberally.

My fault actually, I was trying to agree with ya! Not sure why folks think Meyer would finally jump off that sweet money-making gig he's got to come pick up these ashes but I sure don't see it!

I'm talking a Meyer type coach. A Stoops type coach. Someone who we know is a winner. Let's be done with Google Coaching Searches.

It's gonna take a miracle to make it happen though. You need the money, you need a clear plan, you need somebody who's willing to put on the waders and clean up this turd pile of a program, you need an administration that supports him, and the list goes on. UT just hasn't proven to have any of those things in a long, long time. Even though we all know the money is there and there's talent out there who can turn this program around. Just gotta put those other pieces together.

I have no faith in Fulmer to hire anyone who might outshine his legacy at UT.
