Pruitt "obviously" in trouble

Fulmer has made some, ahem, questionable decisions with the lady vols and the football program...he knows that. This is his next/last chance to prove he can make a good decision as a coordinator. Hopefully, he can!! GBO!

If this is a master-key raid during a game, then it is certainly an inside job to clear the house.

If that is the case, this is so bizarre - even for UT. I just don't know how bargaining down and damaging an outgoing coach makes you the least bit attractive to the coach you want to come in.... Unless... that coach has already agreed to terms in principle. eeeeek!? maybe?

If this is an in-house job and they plan to keep Pruitt!? ... hahahahaaa... I'll have Auburn gear or Clemson gear on order from MAma-zon.com.

I don’t believe that at all. I think Fulmer with a full coaching search that he doesn’t have to throw together will surprise people.

He has to own the Pruitt hire but do we think he would have hired a Pruitt type if he had a full 4 quarters to find a new coach? No chance

And I was right there with you, until Fulmer added the extension.

Fulmer won't be making any decisions. He'll only be the messenger. I think this is THE PERFECT opportunity to get Freeze and here's why. He wants to be here, publicly campaigning for the job. Tennessee holds all the cards given his past transgressions. UT can shape that contract almost anyway they want with regard to "morality" clauses, buyouts, NCAA compliance standards, etc.. where we are not negatively impacted financially or otherwise if we have to part ways with him. Basically, we get to look over his shoulder at every turn. If he doesn't like those terms, then you take a look at Napier, Chadwell, Fleck, et al. But whatever we do, we don't "experiment" anymore. JMO

Tennessee is a Top 10 job.
Then why do we have CJP? Why did we have the most embarrassing coaching search in modern college football history previously? And...... most of all...... why are we currently ranked about #90?

I get the "rah rah" idea but seriously...... why are we here AGAIN if this is a top 10 job?

Tennessee is easily a Top 10 job with the reliable resources to win.

The problem is, the administration won’t spend the money to get a proven winner.

I get your frustration and you make excellent points. The fact that Tennessee lacks the leadership to put it all together doesn’t change the premise of what makes this job so special. The fans, funding, history, conference, and facilities speak to Tennessee being an elite program. It needs a captain. Maybe I’m blinded by fandom. Who knows..
