Yeah, sadly Vanderbilt playing us was probably the biggest slap in the face of the season...I mean JG going -back- in against Kentucky was up there too.
JG going back in during that game was worse.

And the game after.

And the game after.

And the game after.

And the game after.

We are only going to make a change if we can ensure one of our top guys identified are willing to make the move to TN. Additionally you have a sect of donors at odds with each other as usual. One set willing to make a move and go big which includes getting rid of Phil Fulmer and another set who is ok with seeing JP can turn this around with a new developmental support staff and the benefit of a Qb who can actually read a defense and do what is proper given the circumstance.
We need to go with the sect who wants to make the big move. That’s what this program needs...a huge name proven HC. Let’s do it and win a lot of games!!

Are we talking a bigger move than Freeze?

It's weird how humans are simultaneously incredibly fragile and incredibly strong. It's like anything and everything can kill us but then we survive stuff that should've killed beings way stronger than us. Whatever is going on with this kid, I hope he pulls through and makes a 100 percent recovery.

Ok guys. I need your help. Hopefully you'll be up for a poll. You know VN doesn't lose polls. Can you please register a few votes for my nephew? He's up for player of the week in Murfreesboro (basketball). Please register your vote for Avery Lambert. Please vote and vote often.

I don't know where baldy is but if you're out there do your thing!

Let's go!

Vote for the Murfreesboro area high school boys athlete of the week

Hell I just wish any of the bigger names were legit options.

Campbell, Herman, Freeze, Gus, Urban, Stoops...ANY OF THEM. But it's unlikely, South Carolina hired an assistant who was never a coordinator and now so will Vanderbilt. The chances we ever pony up like A&M or Michigan did are pretty slim.

And the fact that Small and Beckwith have been on the bench.

Joseph and Key have been on the bench.

Venus and Hyatt were virtually ignored until week 8.

None of his personnel decisions make sense

Beckwith looks like a beast. Guy needs carries ASAP. Hopefully his showing will get him more shots this wknd. Big fan of how Small plays. Chandler been playing much better too. Graham has done really well with that crew.

Pruitt's defense is nowhere close to being a bad defense. We have an average defense in the SEC. 2nd tier but not awful.

This surprised me too, and only 13 ypg off from 4th place.

This has got to be Jimmy Sexton pushing Steele's name, doesn't it?

Agreed, life is just weird. Not only that but how fast you can go from the top ( Johnsons alley oop dunk) to in a hospital fighting for his life.

No it’s auburn playing games with recruits to make them think Steele will be around and they sign anyway but kids aren’t dumb for most part. They will wait to sign or sign elsewhere as Wallace and Lewis are going to do.

Agreed. Jay only guy doing anything of merit.

Gray, Small, Beckwith will be quite a 3-headed monster next season. Don't forget Whitehead & Hodge both could push for snaps as well.

Auburn is trying way too hard to be Tennessee. Firing a coach without a plan, then boosters start fighting. They're having a good search if you ask me.
Auburn only rivals Tennessee with this search if:

1. They sign a MoU with someone that deeply disappoints the fanbase (could be Steele). Fans revolt and they pull the offer.
2. Their AD embarks on a 10-day wild goose chase where they are linked with about a dozen different coaches, many of whom go on to get big raises. Gundy gets his customary, once-every-few-years raise.
3. After going AWOL for several hours, their AD is called back to Auburn, fired, and replaced with Tommy Tuberville, who turns down his Senate seat before even taking office.
4. Tommy appears to restore order and hires a name that actually is disappointing, but seems OK in light of how awful the search went (kind of like how our hire of Pruitt felt).
5. Sometime after the search, emails/texts are released in a public records request, some of which are Chad Morris all-caps texts about how he wants to be considered for the job.

Tennessee needs to stay on top at something - might as well be #1 at crazy coaching searches.
