I think he’d be welcome back with open arms to Bama. UGA, he obviously had the conflict with Richt. He seems to have matured somewhat since then. FSU, he was chasing the girls a little heavy I’m guessing. He has settled into the family man role, seems like.
I like that he demands so much from his staff. If he’s putting in max effort he has every right to expect that from his staff. When they don’t deliver, it looks like they get Brumbaugh’d. I get that it’s a Nick Saban mentality without producing Nick Saban results, but it shows why those two get along so well.
I think it’s unfair to say it’s Bc he demands max effort from his staff Bc it implied that all these other good coaches and staffs don’t give max effort. Saban is the exception to this rule of head coaches and it only works because of the path to success through him. No one is putting up with him if they aren’t getting moved up the ladder Bc of it. Pruitt doesn’t have the clout and more than likely never will. If he’s going to be a successful head coach, he is going to have to seriously take a step back and learn how to coexist.
Not to go all libtard but i think a lot of fans wanted Pruitt to succeed so bad Bc he seemed like “one of us” especially here in the south. And i think that led to ignoring a lot of red flags both pre and post hire. Hell we still have posters pointing at the few remaining guys from butchs tenure and finding excuses from all over.
The biggest red flag for me early on was Helton and fair wanting to leave and then the team not showing up against Missouri or Vanderbilt after beating Auburn on the road. It made no sense and like much of the things that Pruitt has shown while coach here.... it just doesn’t make sense.
