It did keep us from handing over the reigns to our freshman QB a lot sooner I believe.

I mentioned this in the fall, we should have moved outside of Knox county for the practices. We stayed and let our fate be dictated by eggheads. Did it hurt? Sure, but Pruitt also lost to Ga State because he’s not HC material.

I get most of us will laugh at it purely out of schadenfreude, but in reality we don't play them again for awhile and a weak Auburn is good for UGA and Bama.

As much as I want to enjoy their disastrous hire, we need a strong Auburn.
it's also good for us....while i wouldn't trade coaches with Auburn, i'd certainly trade places in the hierarchy of the SEC with them in a heartbeat......we could be "auburn" going forward.

If it was up to Pruitt, he would still be playing JG. Only switched because our AD and his agent told him he better switch before the fanbase and donors go off the rails. And Ansleys is mediocre.
So, JG isn't playing because people told Pruitt not to play him. Yeah all I need to know. Fire him tomorrow.

Since we're all hypothetically looking for new coaches.

Here's who I'd call:
1. Bob Stoops - (feels like he's got the itch again)
2. Matt Campbell - (Is he waiting on Michigan like some have said?)
3. Lincoln Riley - (is the SEC attractive to him?)
4. Joe Brady - (probably an NFL coach soon, but have to call him)
5. Tony Elliott - (would love to take him from Clemson and he is a QB guru)
6. Eric Bieniemy - (disrespectful that he hasn't been given an NFL chance yet, maybe he'd take a leap for the pay raise UT provides)

I think the new look defensive staff is honestly the biggest reason we sucked more on that side of the ball.

1. Ansley is a first time DC stupid/bad hire imo
2. Last season Rumph was Co-DC and we still had Sherrer & Rocker
3. He moves Nieds to defense his first time coaching on that side of the ball
4. Brings back Felton who had exactly 2 years experience at the college level coaching his group
5. Fires his new DL coach 3.5 games into the season, a guy he apparently never met before hiring?

Pruitt's defense is nowhere close to being a bad defense. We have an average defense in the SEC. 2nd tier but not awful.

And people say Lane would kill it here, LOL. They can't stop anybody either.
