Trey Wallace just brought up a good point on Twitter. I doubt it happens because he hasn’t exactly shown much success at UT, but would be nice if Gruden took Ansley off our hands.
After the way we've hyped him during our past coaching searches, I believe Gruden "owes us one".

And the fact that Small and Beckwith have been on the bench.

Joseph and Key have been on the bench.

Velus and Hyatt were virtually ignored until week 8.

None of his personnel decisions make sense

Besides the obvious QB malpractice, these guys should have been playing larger roles all season. Velus is an outstanding athlete with speed, good hands, and experience... we should have been leaning on him at the WR or slot WR position all year... Beckwith would have enough experience by now to get in the weight room and emerge next season as a Derek Henry type RB...

One of yes. However there are two other issues that may have caused this as well. Some are saying this could be similar to what happened to Hank Gathers. Pistol Pete as well.
It could be something like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which is inherited and causes the heart to thicken without cause. Or it could've been a pulmonary embolism, which could be traced back to COVID since one of the side effects, is the blood is left in a thickened state, which makes it more likely to clot. Facts are though we don't know and we may never know.

You can get cardiomyopathy from the flu and I would guess also from covid -- anything that causes inflammation. The OH was diagnosed with idiopathic cardiomyopathy when we were in grad school. His heart was yuuuuge and at the time he was the youngest non-congenital case UT had seen. He was put on a transplant list and they didn't expect him to make it through the night (obviosuly he did but that's how dire things were). Every doc and resident at the hospital paid us a call because he was such an oddity. After all the testing they could do, their best guess was that a prior illness (cold or flu) caused it. Covid inducing it would not surprise me at all in this case.
