Tebow's college yards per attempt is 9.3. That is comparable to Fields, Herbert, Trask, Burrow among others. Not sure what point you are trying to make, although it seems that you're insinuating that Bailey will be a bust.
That 9.3 is huge. Bailey will not be a bust and I believe he will have a much higher per attempt number before he leaves college.

I don’t see how hiring a new staff and waiting a year saves us money. It will be expensive either way and the money excuse is just lame. Unless we are waiting until signing day and have some tricks up our sleeve we will bring Pruitt back and have this same discussion next year when we are 6-6 or 7-5. Pruitts only hope is to win 9 regular season and sign all those instate studs. Unfortunately we will miss our on the best instate crop in awhile with a lame duck while Bama, Clemson and Ohio State poach them all.
They, somebody, has to see something in Pruitt that we don’t see. Maybe somebody sees more of the story than we do. Idk. Cant be all about money or apathy. Right?

And nothing about a win over vandy, or a firing at auburn is going to change what the insiders have been saying.

Pruitt is coming back next year. That’s what insiders are saying. Like it or not.

Cheer him on. And let’s get some immediate this help w assistant coaches and transfers.
Johnson & Johnson make real good band-aids...

I will take Gus, Rodney Garner, and Steele and add with Tee and Graham I think that’s a solid start to a staff. I think we would consistently compete for the east every year. Just my take. Only if we can’t have Freeze
Why would any of those guys come to a situation where they might have to move again in a year that makes absolutely no sense! Plus we are still left with an archaic offense that barely puts up points in the SEC

I would give Pruitt the benefit of the doubt this year had he just moved on from JG ealrier and tried to improve and play for the future. His management of QB play is what has led to all of this. Some would still be displeased with him and his performance and rightfully so but he didn’t even attempt to fix the most important position on the field. He made his bed with this.

What are you talking about ?

I hear ya. I guess I would feel differently if they were full force and we whipped them, even if they were still 0-8. But that was a shell of an already bad team.
And beat that 0-8 45-man squad by all of 25 points...while our rivals are beating us by that much on the regular...

Let's ponder that when Pruitt talks about "closing the gap".

"Tennessee has to show that it is committed to winning football games again, or the apathy around the program is going to cause an even greater collapse. I don’t know if firing Jeremy Pruitt is the right move, nor do I know if it will happen, but I do know that the cupboard is much more full than it was when he arrived, which makes the job more desirable than when he took over. Tennessee cannot afford to wait a year too late to make another coaching hire yet again."

That completely sums it up right there. Something major has to be done quickly or we aren't digging ourselves out

Exactly. Pruitt has given us some talent. Next years recruiting class will probably be pathetic if we aren’t winning 9-10 games which I doubt we will. What kills programs is bad coaching and not recruiting. We will fire him late next year and then the next coach will miss out on a whole year of recruiting our best instate crop in forever.

That article is all over the place - one of us could have written that
No offense to you Bass, I know you were just posting it to give info
That article points out that AU was willing to go the extra mile to achieve their goals. TN has to prove that they will. If there’s a guy they believe could get it done, the time is now.
