Per Phillip Marshall of Auburn Undercover (247 site) when asked if Freeze would be the hire he said and I quote “no chance at all”.
I agree with other posters said you don't eat $30M unless you have the replacement wrapped up. Kiffin makes sense. Also Napier (could be why he balked at USCe). NCAA is already going to be giving Barn a prostate exam in BB. They don't want to drag FB in too--doubt its Freeze there.

I’m not sure what to make out of Freeze. Seems like a great choice for a program but there is a consistent chatter about him being no chance for big jobs, etc.

I wonder what the truth is

Please let this be true I don’t care about Freeze’s potential NCAA problems he could bring this program, we have been on probation already and scholarship reduction for over 10 years. Kiffin learned from his time at Tennessee you have to believe Freeze can and will do the same if given a second chance the risk is worth the reward in my mind, what do we have to lose that we haven’t already?

That's all Tebow threw when he was at Florida and that's why be bombed in the NFL.

Tebow's college yards per attempt is 9.3. That is comparable to Fields, Herbert, Trask, Burrow among others. Not sure what point you are trying to make, although it seems that you're insinuating that Bailey will be a bust.

Those two aren’t alike

And nothing about a win over vandy, or a firing at auburn is going to change what the insiders have been saying.

Pruitt is coming back next year. That’s what insiders are saying. Like it or not.

Cheer him on. And let’s get some immediate this help w assistant coaches and transfers.

Fulmer connection with Kevin Steele makes sense besides both being alums they together at TN for four years 80-82, then in 87-88. So perhaps he has broken a deal to hire Malzahn?

No I’m good I refuse to accept 3wins in year 3 of a head coaching tenure and no assistants with a pulse will come to this dumpster if we don’t get rid of the guy in control of it. We have seen this same story before the time is now to go grab an actual HC with success

I don’t see how hiring a new staff and waiting a year saves us money. It will be expensive either way and the money excuse is just lame. Unless we are waiting until signing day and have some tricks up our sleeve we will bring Pruitt back and have this same discussion next year when we are 6-6 or 7-5. Pruitts only hope is to win 9 regular season and sign all those instate studs. Unfortunately we will miss out on the best instate crop in awhile with a lame duck while Bama, Clemson and Ohio State poach them all.

No. They can cheer him by themselves.
