That's horrible and not really that cheap. Steele makes $2.5 million, $1.5 million more than Ansley. Why keep Chaney when we can't score 20 points in a game? Tee would probably make the same that Pruitt made as a 1st time HC.

My thoughts as well. AP goes back and forth. He puts out what people want him to say whether it is true or not. Zero chance the assistants are telling Pruitt who to play.

Im not saying its a good option (actually it would be pretty bad) but i could see this as where they go if they are forced to change but don't get a big donor to pony up enough $. Small amount to first time head coach, but give him the experienced OC and DC, and Tee be recruiter program builder..... If it happens and we are all disappointed, i'll be mad that i called it.

It was actually a good article... the conclusion for me was:

MJ had a killer instinct - he wanted to destroy everyone - humiliate them and dominate.

Lebron doesn't have that instinct to that degree - he was nicer, more respectful - still wanted to win, but in a more harmonious way.

Listened to a 247 podcast on why defensive HCs tend to be so conservative/controlling on offense. They brought up how Stoops hired Leach and he went with a modern offense early on and how Saban eventually hired Kiffin and Sark.

The background picture to the entire podcast was....Jeremy Pruitt. Model coach for what not to do.

This...have said it for a while...yet Fulmer had 3 DC’s as his finalist.

I’m on board with this. But is it just change for the sake of change? I would prefer to have a VFL running the show. Maybe he is smart enough to be a CEO and not a micromanager. Steele as DC would be great! Buuuuuuuuut, do we really want to go the unproven route and hope to hit the lottery. Hasn’t worked so well for us.
