But by all accounts (including players who have left the program) they still love Pruitt!! I know people have mentioned that before, but it’s so weird. Also, these guys are still playing hard, though not very well.I think that is the million dollar question.
Had to be some real internal dissension - but we have looked nothing like that team all year.
And nothing has really changed externally - so I think the program is rotten from the inside out and that starts with the Head Coach.
Treatment of players, treatment of coaches, ego, stubbornness - it is all starting to unravel.
I love these hypotheticals. What would the board's take if after the Tex AM game, Fulmer sets a presser fires CJP and names Steele as HC - no search just fire and then a quick naming of Steele (Fulmer's VFL option last time around)?

Ugh. Would be absolutely awful. Time to get a proven winner. Surely they see that paying a little more for a proven coach is cheaper than buying out a shite coach every 3 to 4 years.
If (IF) this theory is true, it will show on Saturday. Players know the ramifications of a loss on Saturday to Vandy.I think that is the million dollar question.

Other schools are going to start to have openings and our list of candidates is going to start to shrink. We really need to do this before LSU and Auburn.LSU may be on the verge of firing their head coach after winning a National Championship. No reason Pruitt should still be the head man. I know LSU has other issues but if they really believed Orgeron was the man they would spin whatever narrative they could to keep him. I don't see that happening. Napier ends up replacing him in my opinion and Tennessee continues to kick the Pruitt can down the road to nowhere.
Tee as HC, keeping Chaney as OC, and CJG at RB, replacing pruitt linked staff (friend weinkie, and entire defensive staff) hire Steele as DC and his AUB defensive staff.Would just rather promote Tee if that was the case.
