I think winning 11 games at Minnesota is harder than making the playoffs here.tbf, he has done a lot better job at minnesota than I thought he would. Going 11-2 there is probably the equivalent of us winning the SEC.
Well if our last 3 coaching hires is the bar of success, be prepared to stay in the basement of the SEC.Both of those have better resumes than the last three coaches we hired
Exactly, it truly is the best we can do there is no future success.Best we can do now behind Freeze, yes. We need someone that can take us to 8-9 wins consistently. That has a chance to compete for SEC title every 3-4 years. We are a dumpster fire right now guys.
We aren't the Vols of 90's or early 00's.
I think that they want to win really badly. More than you want $5 off an oil change.VQ guys opened the podcast today saying the administration above Fulmer wants the football program to win, and that people should stop saying they don't care about winning.
Uh, no ****? I don't think the VQ guys understand the point we are making when we say that.
People want all kinds of stuff. I want a million dollars to fall down my chimney. The fact of the matter is the administration wants to win like I want 5 dollars off my next oil change.
It would be cool, but it isn't worth the effort to fill out the form to get the coupon to make it happen.
I've wondered that myself. Not just about freeze but another coach. I would like to think we are ahead of the game for once but I doubt it.
Napier has a great resume. He was OC at Arizona St and Clemson. He was the WR coach at Bama, he is 27-11 as a HC, 20-4 the last two seasons coaching a team coming off 3 straight losing seasons. All the LSU fans on their board want O fired and Napier hired. If Chadwell or Napier is the best we can do, I will except the fact that 7 wins is probably the best I'll ever see Tennessee for the rest of my life.
