The common denominator between our last 4 hires is that none of them had ever won a college football game of significance as a head coach before coming here. Nothing that compares to the weekly matchups they would see in the SEC.

This is a tough job. You gotta find somebody that's ready for it and prepared.

I understood the rational behind the hires at the time considering the circumstances. But looking back, none of these guys were ready.

This program needs Hugh Freeze. Even if he doesn't work out long term he could send a spark back into this place. Give Neyland something to cheer about again. Give us a chance out there!

Everyone is turning, yet Fulmer and the admins still don’t get it. Every recruit I see that might flip, and I’m just like “meh, whatever...doesn’t matter who we get anyways”. I’ve never felt like this. It used to bother me. The powers that be have no idea how very close the fanbase is to checking out completely.

Hopefully he’s overcome some of his personal issues. Also, I’m pretty sure he told one of our boosters (can’t remember which one) that they were dumber than hell when we hired Dooley. Part of the reason why he lost out on the job last time.

Was he wrong? Sounds like that is exactly who we need as AD, but of course, we are TN and never do what makes sense.

He won eight games last year in year three at the program. They had never been to a Florida bowl game. And they are 6-1 this year. Indiana May be the worst program in that division. It’s impressive.
