That “Kiffin puts up a lot of points” dig there at the end.
He’s done it once before to my knowledge when asked about possible commitments and he laughed and said “good players want to go to teams that are winning.”
I’ve never seen them be this dismissive of a coaching staff.
Totally agree, but VQ stood by Butch for a long time, even after he was fired. I remember AP standing with him on the Catholic High School sidelines. The truth is Pruitt has botched his chance to be successful here. That’s the problem with learning on the job to be big time college head coach. Even if you learn from every mistake and don’t repeat them, you can only make so many before the harm becomes irreparable and things snowball out of control.
Pruitt has reached that point. It’s time to move on.
I still think Fulmer is gonna fire Pruitt. IMO he's working on a deal without the Haslam's money because he knows if he waits a year he may not get another chance to hire a second coach. There's just no way Phil is sitting back watching us get our doors blown off every week and not having a plan to fix it. Him being tied to Pruitt becomes much more relevant and a problem in 2021. Keeping him another year only hurts him because Pruitt hasn't shown he can fix things. It's gonna be a quick "Pruitt fired, new coach in 2-3 days later" move.

They’ve turned on Pruitt a year (theoretically) before he’s going to be fired.
I think he crossed a line with them when his staff didn’t take the paycuts. That made it personal.True. You think they just don’t like him personally, or do you think they know he’s bad for their business and are trying to nudge him out?
