As someone who was very high on Mullen even I’m surprised how well he’s doing. Freeze had a lil better results at a lil easier place to win but had better talent. I’d love to see him here, UGA, UF, UT consistently top #10.... football would be fun again
How is Ole Miss an easier place to win than Florida?

Pitt is 1st in the nation in tackles for loss, 3rd in sacks, and 9th in ints. Thats not a gimme.

We almost lost to South Carolina this season. Who knows how they'll be with a new coach.

uscjr will be ass next year. All their decent underclassmen are declaring for the draft already.

Pruitt has recruited well here until this year. That 2020 class is a great class. It wasn’t a ga class, but we also suck and it was still top 10. Recruiting hasn’t been his problem. Development and QB decisions have been.
My biggest problem with Pruitt, I keep hearing the young guys are the best on the roster. My response to that is why are freshmen more talented than 3 or 4 year players, if they're more talented why aren't they on the field playing? Can't have it both ways, either way you crack that egg it leads back to Pruitt not being effective. With that being said is another round of staff changes really needed to make the determination in whether he can be successful here or not?

If the answer is no then we must believe there is no coach this administration feels can right the ship. That tells you everything you need to know about where we are headed.

Personally I'm done, this administration must regroup and put their shoulder to the boulder and move this in the right direction. I'm fine with waiting until next year if means they have the right person with the right resources and an adminstration that's pulling in the same direction. Until that happens though I'm out, done. I won't waste another weekend or my hard earned money chasing after bad. Get it right or just lay down and quit already.

I think the 2020 class was legitimately good, I won't argue that.

What I'm saying is it was a bad sign when he was hired and we didn't immediately get some "new coach" momentum. Dooley got it and Kiffin did too. I don't remember Butch's first class, I think that was the class where he brought Weisman and Helm from Ohio.

The biggest thing that happened from the time Pruitt was hired to signing day is that we lost Cade Mays and let Penix go.
Neither of those guys had an early signing period. Pruitt had 2 weeks

I posted this in Vandy game thread:

What happens if Sarah Fuller kicks a fg and it gets blocked, then we return the blocked kick, she is about to make the tackle and Jeremy Banks clocks her with a legal block? What happens to this feel good story?

Nothing. She's on the field playing the position. She knows the risks. You don't target her (you wouldn't target any kicker) but if she's in a position where she needs to be blocked you block. She's not going to explode into pixie dust and sparkles if she gets hit.

Phillip Fulmer is a hypocritical dumb ass for keeping Pruitt if the situation is about “money”
I think for Fulmer it is about wanting stability at the position for more than 3 years if at all possible, and also his pride that Pruitt was the guy he picked. Of course, as Basilio's sidekick Beano said the other day, "Fulmer was like the guy who goes shopping for toilet paper after Covid hit."

Hugh Freeze was at Ole Miss. Herman’s at Texas.

Even with the recruits he made noise with and ultimately got in trouble over, OM was severely undermanned compared to most of its opponents. Freeze made OM -- Vandy of the West relevant so ironically they forget that beating BAMA at OM = Vandy beating BAMA. Twice Freeze pulled that off. His losses are explicable in that his teams played to their potential those days and overperformed the other times. There is a reason OM fans wanted to keep Freeze despite it all.

ole miss has never been the vandy of the west

There is no equal for vandy

LOL...but wouldn't that be cool if it did happen!
