Almost 24hrs later and I still feel the same, make the move. After taking a little time to stew on another double digit loss I’ll say this. I’m officially off the Pruitt train, I tend to give coaches the benefit of the doubt but it’s painfully obvious Pruitt is in over his head. I understand what he inherited I do, but a good head coach doesn’t loose games by 20+ on a consistent basis even with lesser talent (look at Ole Miss, Miss St, Arkansas) good coaches don’t talk about players not executing in year 3, good coaches don’t have to burn timeouts at least once a game because we’re not lined up properly and I could go on. My message to Fulmer is this, there is no shame in admitting a mistake the fans know the s**t situation you came into and will understand if move on in a timely manner but if you wait until next year to fire Pruitt you risk tarnishing a Hall of Fame legacy with the fan base. I have no idea who the next coach would be but I do know there are a ton of very good coaches available that would want this job, don’t wait a year too long and miss on them..... Rant over.
His name is Shrout.Doug Matthews makes me sick
IF pruitt doesn’t have success he has only himself to blame, but anyone that thinks he won’t be here next year is wasting their time talking about it. The AD has enough money for staff changes.
Several assistant coaches are not developing players. That’s a under statement.
He thinks we have 2 QB’s that can play, Strout and Bailey. I tend to agree. Yes, Strout played against a base defense, but I also saw the team pick up their level of play when he was in the game.
Matthews also said that Pruitt had to decide that if he was going to be a head coach or a game day coach. Trying to do to much as a DC and DL coach.
Yeah, I like Satterfield but I don’t love him.Be happy it’s not Pruitt but he disappointed that we didn’t aim higher.,....
But then picking us to go 8-4 in 2021 by august.
Praying for your son, your family, and you @VolsDoc81TX. I know you said you’re working to keep him close - and others have offered up a few locations - but north of Atlanta, there is a place - No Longer Bound. It’s a year long program that is faith based. If nothing else, there are guys there who could be another resource/counsel for you as you all walk through this.

This is where im at. The fans are done, but the Vq guys haven't written the article that sounds like the kiss of death yet.Right, but I can promise you we’re not going to fire him without floating a trial balloon to the fanbase in some way. Hubbs, Lowe, someone, is going to write a “a loss to Vanderbilt would be the end” piece.
