Expert opinion is the weakest form of scientific evidence. And if you look at the information they are using to form those opinions, there are significant flaws.

I wear a mask. Mostly because it’s easy and if it helps, great. If not, I personally don’t feel infringed upon. I feel it’s a compromise to “protect the vulnerable.” I don’t want to be told I have to be locked down at home. But neither does the 65yo mildly obese diabetic. So we compromise. I wear a mask, we all get to live a little more freely until it’s over.

Record deaths again yesterday. Coming back just as those expert opinions said it would. Get back to us on 2/02/2020 with the death count. Se how it matches up to those expert opinions which do change every time they get data causing those opinions to change

I would think either they did, or some people have immune responses that keep them from catching it. I’ve heard there’s a study out of Europe now that seems to suggest the hormone DHT plays a significant role in how sick someone gets from the virus.

That’s because they’re not stupid. Depraved yes, stupid no. IMO it is a waste of time to try to reason with folks who abhor reason and logic. Those who say they follow the scientist, as if the Barrington Declaration doesn’t exist and the science is some monolithic fact. They are not going to be open to unmasking or not locking down until they’re approved political authority figure tells them it’s ok.

Do these bans work? A couple of weeks ago Michigan and Kentucky instituted a ban on indoor dining. Ohio did not. Neither MI or KY has seen much if any movement of the C19 needle. Gov Beshear announced the ban on a day that KY had 2753 cases. They had 4K three days ago followed by 3782 two days ago, 3784 yesterday. MI has had 32,783 cases in the past four days. OH has had 32,860. Both KY and MI have more cases per capita than OH. So do restaurants really make much difference? I'd say not and all the pain imparted onto restaurant owners and employees is not worth the gain, if any, in fighting this virus.

Targeting restaurants is unconscionable. Spoke with @volfanhill 2 weeks ago. Not one case contact traced back to a restaurant. And the media would be all over it happened.
So many mom n pop places are gone forever.

Here in Ohio everyone is wearing masks as you enter any public building. 100%
