Let this sink in. Let’s say Pruitt goes 1-2 the rest of this season. Pruitt would basically have to go 8-4 in 2021 and then 9-3 in 2022 to get to 34 wins that would equal Butch Jones win total at UT. Is it doable? Maybe. Who thinks that’s going to happen?

Depends if we hit on HB. If we miss on HB... well... nah.

This is cool and all but if you saw TL in person, you would be like “damn that’s a huge dud and he would whip my behind.”
I get the point but he's not that large of a guy, and in my prime I've handled larger stronger dudes. I'm not a little guy by any means.

Pruitt is a bad HC. If money truly isn’t an issue like VQ suggested there is no logical reason to give him another year.

I have seen a lot of Majors comparisons. That comparison is lazy, not all losses look the same. We are getting embarrassed, Johnny may have lost a lot of games early on, but most all of the losses were competitive.

I think money is only part of the issue, the other part is if you don't have who you believe is a top tier coach interested why make a move? I'm not saying I agree with it but that's where I think Fulmer and the next level(s) of this admin are at.

Not defending Pruitt at all but aren't you really comparing Dobbs to Guarantano?

If the rumors are true that Harrison Bailey is starting, will it be announced tomorrow, or just let it be figured out watching warmups Saturday. Also, how did we find out Maurer was starting vs Georgia last year?

Urban is totally going to go to Texas
Pete Thamel was on Finebaum and said he doubts he goes there. I read Scoop that Urbs, He has a lot of irons in the fire in Columbus...restaurants. wife runs a charity, he he has a group of 4 assistants that he has to have, but some of them wouldn't be interested in leaving OSU.

The causal pattern is the other way around. People won't let talk of biases die BECAUSE THEY EXIST.

Plan 1) Act like it (sexism, racism, ageism) doesn't exist. Hide it. Ignore subconscious biases. Push it down deep and keep truckin'.

Plan 2) Accept subconscious biases exist IN ALL OF US. Spread awareness. Accept and fight subconscious biases at a conscious level.

The BIGGEST mistake is in thinking bias occurs at a purely conscious level, when it is typically at a subconscious level and affects everyone. Me, you, everyone. As a human acting on schemas, it is inevitable. But we have to be aware first and foremost.

Not a fan of the idea of a subconscious. I think the conscious v subconscious argument gives folks an out and is an easy way to excuse behavior. Don’t categorize or justify your behavior. Just take ownership of your behavior and work to improve it.

Wow, pretty hard to do, he'd have to have a win or two against the big 3 mixed in.

You are probably right that’s what they’re thinking but if we delay and make the move next year we won’t be alone. I think a lot of jobs will be open next year. I just hope our admin is proactive if the rest of the season goes as expected.

Majors also won a national championship at Pitt. He had credibility that afforded him more time to build the program. Pruitt doesn't have that on his resume.

Majors did lose to North Texas St and Rutgers, both were about equivalent to Georgia St.
I'm not comparing Pruitt to Majors just showing Johnny did have some struggles.
