Chip Long and Coach O though both have NEVER coached QBs...which is why in my reshuffled staff I didn't put them there. Tee and Chaney are the only 2 on staff with experience coaching the QBs. But to fire Friend I'd need Chaney coaching the OL. Chip's entire experience is TEs & OC so why wouldn't you just elevate him to do that?

Obviously that’s just my opinion and he could be a genius and could light it up. The biggest thing tho is Pruitt doesn’t have the clout to name him as OC. No way that Scott was a better option than Osovet.

He did play the position a little bit as well, so there’s that.

You listed quarterbacks amongst others. Was I mistaken that you credited him? I’m not advocating Long or Osovet for QB’s coach but I’m also not on board with demoting Martin...yet. And it’s a demotion. FTR AHC and PGC are fluff titles...so retaining them is no boon.

Can Friend and Weinke. Shift Chaney to OL and have Chip Long coach TEs along with being Co-OC. Osovet should handle QBs. That's the only offensive staff adjustments Pruitt should make. On defense find Shelton a landing spot somewhere else and make Nieds ST coach. Try like hell to bring Lance Thompson, Bo Davis, and Tosh Lupoi on board.

That’s not what was said. They said Lewis wasn’t as important as Willis or Brooks and that they expect Lewis to jump back in and also, that they don’t believe Lewis is as good as his ranking.

I copy/pasted the list...you do realize that right? So whatever was on it is directly from UT not me.

I mean I'd rather let Chaney be the OC/QB coach, but I also want Friend gone with Weinke. And I was trying to reshuffle without requiring a new hire. But if Chaney takes over QBs you'd either have to keep Friend or hire a new OL coach. Still not sure I buy it as a demotion to go to QBs if you're eventual plan is to be a OC or HC...be interested in your thoughts on why it's a demotion though.

I’m saying it’s a similar situation but worse optics Bc Scott was on the staff of a very good offense. Osovet is on the staff of the worst offense I’ve ever seen
