They’re talking on Nashville radio that ESPN reportedly recorded the halftime speech, presumably to air during the Espys or something.

Texas is also a job similar to Michigan. I think it’s a gassed up program by the alumni and media Bc of the following. Also texas high school football is overrated due to numbers and the amount of schools located there and pulling from there.

Facts TCU, SMU, Houston, Texas, Texas Tech, OU, OK State, LSU, Arkansas, TCU, etc. so many places milking the same cow.

I think if I'm Urban and my ultimate goal is to set myself up to win championships USC is the dream spot. Pac-12 without much competition and the entire state of California to dominate in recruiting with no other nearby established programs to compete with. Should be an easy ass path to the CFP every season.

The weird thing with the Pruitt stuff is that for whatever reason it's almost like the offensive side of things just hasn't gelled for whatever reason. I think that with Chip Long and Coach O both on staff already the "new age" offense/OC is present. But if Pruitt hired Chaney to be his Yes man then will the change occur as long as he is still the head coach?

Chaney, Chip, & O all can/have ran more modern high powered offenses than what we do now. There's also the limitations of **** QB play from JG & even worse QB coaching.

I honestly think you remove Weinke & JG and give the keys to the OC you're paying with some freedom and things improve drastically.

2021 Offensive staff to me at least
Co-OC/OL - Chaney
Co-OC/TE - Chip Long
QB/PGC - Tee Martin
WR - Joe Osovet
RB - Jay Graham

Ya eliminate Friend & Weinke, and let that staff design/run a more modern offense while also freeing up a slot to add a DB coach.
Switch Martin and Osovet and I agree.

Here's my reasoning... Tee has been a QB coach and has guys he coached playing on Sundays. I think O is slightly overhyped a bit, TEs haven't looked great this year and he's never coached QBs. Went from WRs to OC then to HC. I'm sure he's been involved with QBs being an OC, but even then never at a Power 5 school. I'd like to give him a little more "wait and see" before elevating him to QBs.

Tee is a fantastic WR coach though, so he may not want to move. Still I feel like TE to WR is a promotion and WR to QB would be as well.

True. But it does mean they are violating the law, NCAA rules, UT/team rules. So if busted or fail drug tests they cannot play, which robs others of first team practice snaps to get ready for games.
While that is true, as has been stated multiple times, it goes on at every school, every day.

Why do you think that?
Watch his video's on how he runs an offense and tell me you're not impressed. Pruitt has made a bunch of mistakes in hiring assistants but this is not one of them. He's not a TE coach either. He should be working with our QB and calling plays. He was brought here for a reason and he hasn't been given an opportunity to show his abilities. I just hope some other SEC team doesn't take him from us.

What position group has looked great this season. And what QUARTERBACKS has Tee coached that went to the NFL?

Yeah I don’t get this fascination with moving Tee to QB’s coach. First, he hasn’t coached the position in 12 years and it was at New Mexico...second, it’s a DEMOTION!

RB Ronald Jones (RD 2) – USC ’18 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
CB/WR Adoree Jackson (RD 1) – USC ’17 – Tennessee Titans
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (RD 2) – USC ’17 – Pittsburgh Steelers
OL Zach Banner (RD 4) – USC ’17 – Indianapolis Colts
QB Cody Kessler (RD 3) – USC ’16 – Cleveland Browns
WR Nelson Agholor (RD 1) – USC ’15 – Philadelphia Eagles

WR Marqise Lee (RD 2) – USC ’14 – Jacksonville Jaguars
WR Robert Woods (RD 2) – USC ’13 – Buffalo Bills

They lying to us??? Not sure how a former QB & QB coach going from WRs to QBs is a demotion, he'd still keep the AHC/PGC titles I would think.

Keep Tee at WR, let Chip Long handle QBs. Tell Osovet and Weinke to kick rocks. Anyone can coach TEs.
We need to move on from Friend but I don't see it happening.

He didn’t coach QUARTERBACKS at USC. You did know that, right? He coached the position in high school and one season at UNM. As a position group, WR’s is a higher rung than quarterback caretaker...just is.

RBs, despite regression in the passing game we're averaging 10 more per game in the rushing attack. As a group ESPN list only 2 fumbles and 1 lost from all UT RBs too.

So make Graham QB’s coach. 😏

I have but i think his offense has potential but it’s entirely too finesse and RPO based. That needs to be a chapter in your book not the moral of the book. I also don’t trust our OL coach to develop a blocking scheme to go along with it. That takes a lot of work and chemistry to develop and with the way we flip positions and rotate people in and out i think it would be a disaster.

Obviously that’s just my opinion and he could be a genius and could light it up. The biggest thing tho is Pruitt doesn’t have the clout to name him as OC. You can’t over pay Chaney have horrible offense then promote a guy on the same offensive staff. That’s terrible optics. Larry Scott shi* but worse

I didn't say he coached QBs at USC, you do KNOW that right? I said he's put guys in the NFL, then gave you the list directly supplied on UT's official coaching profile page.

Chip Long and Coach O though both have NEVER coached QBs...which is why in my reshuffled staff I didn't put them there. Tee and Chaney are the only 2 on staff with experience coaching the QBs. But to fire Friend I'd need Chaney coaching the OL. Chip's entire experience is TEs & OC so why wouldn't you just elevate him to do that?
