In my opinion cade is right!..don’t bring that outside s**t into a family of brothers!?...what was he thinking? The outside world and whats going today has nothing to do with that locker room..if it comes to light that it indeed happened then I’ll lose some respect for Trey and puts a small stain on his legacy here..if it isn’t Pruitt doing dumb S**t,it’s kids who feel entitled just because they have a (C) on their jerseys and assume others will follow his lead because he feels righteous
Come on, Suave, this is political. It needs to go elsewhere.

I’m sure quick to point out red flags well this is a “green flag” for Pruitt

Agreed. I have been pleasantly surprised that we haven't had a run of opt-outs. It does speak well of Pruitt and the staff despite the perceived issues and "culture" issues in the program right now... I'd still fire him, but this is a green flag. Honestly it just makes me feel more for the guys in the program. They're giving their all and they want this program to turn around... it's just not happening right now for one reason or another.

It’s going to be full on toxic after Saturday’s ass whooping. Like @Kingston Vol said, yea we know it’s coming, but there’s just something about actually seeing it that sets people off. And we still have people mentally checking out in year 3? That’s nice.

I watched a lot of the Clemson Pitt game last weekend because the Iron Bowl was terrible. The Clemson offense is so fun to watch (Lawrence had over 400 yards and played just 3 qtrs). It is very creative even with some of their basic running plays. I wish we were fun to watch.
Watch MAC and Sun Belt teams. ALL of their Offenses are more creative and they run the same 3 or 4 plays multiple ways. Ridiculous how vanilla we try to be.

If/when we fire Pruitt... I want Bob Stoops. Feels like basketball hiring Rick Barnes and that's worked really well. The program needs someone that understands how to be a head coach and build a program with a great history.

Would also be huge for his legacy which could be a selling point to him. Returning Tennessee to glory like he did Oklahoma would be huge.

I’m betting we could do the math and show that we would come out better with him gone. Fan apathy is at an all time high right now. UT is going to lose money on top of the covid hit next year. We need a stimulus package for this program right now, if you know what I mean. Consumer spending is about to tank
fan apathy comes and goes with the result of a game.

no one is happy right now.

but we're only one win away from being headed back in that direction....

lol. we're fickle that way....cause if we were to somehow beat FL, i'd be back on the train...

dont' worry, i'm not buying any tickets for the train or anything....but i would.....

Every team has guys checking out. Opt-outs aren't always physical. When the season grinds them down and the negativity builds, some guys just start giving a little less, then a little less, until they're just going through the motions.
Seems like its been that way for a minute with some of our upper class men.

Where is that screenshot from?

I think the "double dip" comment is alluding to the fact that Pruitt doesn't have to mitigate his buyout if fired. He's owed the full buyout regardless - whether he returns to Rainsville to sit on his ass, gets another job somewhere, or whatever.

I asked him and he stated that the “double dip” comment meant he would get paid full salary here while making another full salary from whoever hires him.

Good grief
it’s been said many many times for weeks here

If Pruitt is fired he gets all of his buyout even if he works elsewhere

If Pruitt beats Florida and Vandy, and essentially holds on to the recruiting class, I could get behind keeping him with staff changes. I just don’t see it happening.

HB and some of the younger guys will give more effort. They'll make mistakes, but they want the opportunity to learn. Some of the older guys need to move on. When guys start checking out mentally, it creates locker room issues.
Like clockwork. Season goes south, blame the Older guys/previous staff. Lather rinse repeat.
