Now look at the games against. Clemson, UGA, Bama, Michigan, USC. Those numbers are mis leading. His offenses racked up stats against bad teams.

Just who in the heck exactly do you think we’re gonna be able to hire as OC that puts up big numbers against the really good teams?

Who would you say are the best coordinators in college football? We could prob go look at their game by game stats and find instances where they either were shut down by opposing good teams or boat raced (D coordinator) by opposing good teams.

i just do not get the affinity for Chaney. He is terrible.
Chaney's entire rep is built off of just 2 stops he's made. The vast majority of it was made during that OC stint at Purdue in the late 90s with Drew Brees. He then supplemented it a little bit during that 2017 season with Georgia when they almost won the title.

The guy has been an assistant coach since 1985, but only 2-3 years of his career stand out. The rest of it is just kind of "meh," if not bad.

If true!..WOW!..can anyone confirm? @LA Vol

Where is that screenshot from?

I think the "double dip" comment is alluding to the fact that Pruitt doesn't have to mitigate his buyout if fired. He's owed the full buyout regardless - whether he returns to Rainsville to sit on his ass, gets another job somewhere, or whatever.

Week 9 of year two and the players still don’t understand why we do some of the **** we do.

That’s normal, right?

Ironically - I’m often times shaking my head and wondering why we call some of the plays we do also.

Is our offense that difficult to learn? The reason I see using this type of offense in college is that players might be better prepared for the pros. But what is the point if they can’t learn it?

Might be what AV was talking about a while ago. Being swept under the rug and that could of divided the locker room

In my opinion cade is right!..don’t bring that outside s**t into a family of brothers!?...what was he thinking? The outside world and whats going today has nothing to do with that locker room..if it comes to light that it indeed happened then I’ll lose some respect for Trey and puts a small stain on his legacy here..if it isn’t Pruitt doing dumb S**t,it’s kids who feel entitled just because they have a (C) on their jerseys and assume others will follow his lead because he feels righteous

We will be paying millions more for staff buyouts by not firing everyone this year and waiting til next year if we change OC and DC along with others. What a joke we are.

An absolute joke and its not even close. We have so many fans that are already checked out and will absolutly not be back at the games next year if the gump is still here. Folks will still watch and cheer at home but the stadium will look like a damn Miami game by the end of the season, 35k if they are lucky. There is NO player development whatsoever, no fire, no enthusiasm anywhere on the field. The guy is not a Head Coach, he is a really good D-Coordinator when he has 5 stars at every position. If they start Bailey I hope he forgets everything Wienke has "taught" him and just goes off his natural mechanics and instinct.

My son is senior this year and I asked him over Thanksgiving if he was going this Saturday and he just laughed, he said they could give 5k tickets away to the students and they may have 1k show up. Said its a joke even in the student ranks, they don't care anymore. They don't care about the FL game, which is just unbelievable to me… I don't understand the bring Pruitt back next year crowd, he has done nothing. In his time here we have gone backwards which I didn't think was possible but here we are.

For starters try an approach to LSU last year. RPO heavy and let your QB make plays. So Osovet.

Irrelevant late Dec games were always iffy. The schools have had calls and with COVID flare-ups putting players in protocol and other players considering opting out, more games will be cancelled. The timing of UT-aTm makes it prime for cancellation unless aTm needs a statement beat-down to impress the committee before Selection Sunday.

Not many teams have a lot left to play for. Players are tired of the protocols and some just want to go home.

It’s been alluded to that our O is difficult to learn. I believe it’s a pretty complex system. And that’s magnified for QB’s bc we ask them to do so much.

I agree - we should dumb it down and put the best players on the field.

I don't think UT plays again after this weekend

Apparently, you're only allowed to do such things at places like Arkansas. At UT, we have to have a three ring binder full of plays we don't use because we keep trotting a fifth year senior that can barely trust to hand the ball off.
