Amateur Hour Continues

You are stuck on your side and have your biases.
The Trump fans have theirs
Y’all point fingers at each other while we independents sit here looking at 2 sides of the same coin.
Then recruit some talent, raise some funds, and break through please. Most of America would be more than open to a legit 3rd party, they just aren’t organized enough to throw a wrench into the cogs of the binary political machine.

It’s becoming obvious that there are very few real independents here.

And there is no comparison in terms of a cult of personality. Trump’s base genuinely seems to perceive this whiny, undemocratic tub of lard as some sort of masculine, patriotic hero. Many of them truly can’t comprehend that most Americans hate him, are embarrassed to be represented by him, and want him gone at all costs. That’s why they’re so floored by the election results and convinced of fraud despite all evidence crumbling before their eyes. Trumpkins are living in an alternate reality.
Whatever you need to tell yourself.
But the Obama lovers are every bit as blind to his tyranny as the Trump guys are to his

The libertarians/greens could actually have a chance to grow by pushing for ranked choice voting (or another voting style superior to first past the post) and focusing more on lower level politics.

I’m doing my part swimming against the tide. I vote 3rd party and raise money and awareness for them while actively working on things I believe to be real threats (pollution, I spend most of December every year on the gulf coast volunteering in clean up projects). But you’re correct. Real change towards a 3rd party or even a fourth seems very unlikely but that doesn’t mean I won’t try to help bring it about

Again, third parties have no shot until voting changes. No amount of organization or donations will fix that.

Absolutely.
I’m all for ranked choice voting.
The focus needs to start at the lower levels with the eye on the National level. Real change can’t happen at the lower local level while being squashed at the higher levels

Agreed. It’s just silly that the entire libertarian platform for growth seems to be “hopefully I can get on the debate stage.”

Honestly we/they should have disrupted the debates. “You can be on the debate stage if you poll at —-%” then don’t include us/them in the polls.
Maybe pro would listen if we start burning **** down.

You really need to find your JFK, Reagan, or Obama. A communicator that inspires people to pay attention to your party’s POV and makes it ultra appealing. If they can’t break through in an America that is “lead” by Trump/Biden/McConnell/Pelosi... I’m not sure when they will.

I agree with this, but you ignore that Dems feel the same about their candidates. Obama, Biden, and most especially Hillary. Both sides have fallen into a cult-like worship of their candidates, unable to see their many foibles.

I agree that Americans are blind fat and stupid. Most are like loother and think it’s a team sport. If my guy does it it’s ok but the other guy bad. The reality is when you look at the parties there’s not enough real difference to talk about and they have succeeded in convincing everyone to join a team

So to be clear, you all are past this fraud "lets all unite" crap?
