No sarcasm---- how and when do you think he will be successful? How will he recover from this season and all of a sudden have kids at their peak of potential and this program firing on all cylinders, working as one, with a goal to whip everyone? He's had 3 YEARS and we are regressing...Regressing-- we are performing worse this year than last year with more talent on the roster... So you think he's gonna hit the magic Men in Black reset button and magically get the locker room and staff back as one?
It’s a fair question. Realistically I think he needs 5 years. A full recruitment cycle and only guys he recruited. I think that matters for culture.
And I realize it still might not work.

But I also feel this isn’t just a single person problem. If you replaced Pruitt today with anyone you wanted the issues wouldn’t just go away. It’s systemic.

Sucks that Ansley is a bad playcaller. Seems like Pruitt needs to call the defense, but he’s also got his hand deep in the offense.

Now he’s coaching DL too? This is pretty obvious that Pruitt is a control freak and thinks he needs to be involved everywhere. Wrong mentality for a HC if ya ask me.

two things I think:

Right head coach that is forward thinking, aggressive, innovative, energetic

A transcendent QB that can execute a great scheme

That's it. The rest would fall right into place.

Easy, right?
Rarely do you have a "stars align" scenario when it comes to timing. This year, we do. But we will not take advantage.

Exactly. We have to start demanding more. People are trying to act like this is year one. We are in year three and look worse.
UT fans are sheep tho. They complain then closer to GameDay they lap that sh!t up. Calling themselves true fans. The pumpers will be back in here by Friday. Gonna take a mass exodus of fans not showing up or donating . Full on boycott. Covid might actually help out and get the program serious about doing things right. They've already lost a lot of money this season, and will lose a lot more if we are still trash next year.

VQ pod sounds like Pruitt has lost the team. It is definitely time to make a change. We’re going to see a mass exodus if we don’t come new transfer rule. And it will be our most talented players transferring out not the interns left overs
Yeah after listening to it, I’m even more convinced we’ve got to get rid of this guy. Think things are bad now? It’s gonna get way, way worse if we keep this bum around too long

Maybe so, but you can't blame covid on the talent we have that came back from last season, added with the new talent this season, performing worse... you just can't. We are getting worse and beat by lesser teams... we should have gained traction and picked up where we left off and be improving as the season progresses... yet we are getting worse. Yes we lost 3 leaders in JJ, Calloway, and Warrior, but otherwise we basically have the same talent and more new talent. Don't forget everyone else has been dealing with covid too, yet they seem to be way ahead of us... sorry, you just can't use that excuse.
like i said, there's a lot that can't be defended about this season and the regression is one of them....i don't disagree. we should be able to line up against Arkansas and UK and handle them. especially with the O LIne we have. i cannot explain or excuse how poor we've been up front....

and i know everyone has been dealing with covid. and i still think that when you take in to account that the vast majority of the production that was going to be depended on for this year, were freshmen last year.....the off season between year 1 and year 2 is absolutely critical in that group's devlepment, speaking specifically on the 19 class kids that would be highly depended on this season. intangibly, we also missed out on the opportunity for leaders to emerge, and i think we all agree that this team lacks leadership in the locker room, in a big way.

as for the new talent....some of them haven't played organized football in going on a year, and had NO off season whatsover....that matters. it's long odds for freshmen to make significant impacts under normal conditions. take away their first off season, and it's damn near impossible. especially for your incomingi QB that you wanted to get in to the competition early in the spring.

i think timing wise, this was terrible timing for this roster to go thru what they have gone thru. the more veteran rosters in this league have faired pretty well. they younger rosters, not so much.

none of htat however, explains some of the personnel decisions we've made, especialy now that hte season has gone to the pooper. and it doesn't explain or excuse how much worse they've played, especially at positions wehre there is a veteran presence....OL and CB in particular....and for all of JG's faults, it's stil inexcusable that he's not gotten any better, even if just at an organic level............

Florida fired a coach halfway through his third year after he won the East in each of his first two seasons. They had a coach they wanted and they went out and got him and now they are title contenders. Tennessee, however, sits on their hands hoping things will work out.

And to think.... if chip Kelly and frost don’t turn down Florida.... Mullen is here and big John is still our AD

yep. i think pruitt does need to take his hands off certain aspects of the team. i think there's something to the notion that he's meddled on the offensive side of the ball. and i think he's certainly doing it on the defensive side of the ball.

and Georgia fired a guy that won 40 games in 4 years...they're probably the better example here because they targeted a guy, and decided to go get him, and did.

UF, much like Bama with SAban, had circumstances play out that just "worked out" for them...cause neither Saban nor Mullen were choice one.....

for us, things have proven over the now decade+ that things aren't just gonna work out for us like that...and secondly, i don't think we have, and haven't had since we went after Lane Kiffin, a guy we were gonna target, and just go get....

Hard to continue to do the same thing and expect different results.
