Pruitt won’t be a good fit for any OC. As soon as he smells any weakness in his defense, he slaps a governor on the offense to protect it.

Exactly. It's why he was tentative to hire Briles or Yurchich. Younger guys who may raise a stink. Chaney is too laid back for that and readying himself for retirement.

Who would you go after for OC next year? I mean it’s a given that Pruitt will have to clean house on that side of the ball.

Tee Martin will be the OC as no one will take the job and maybe the only way he stays in Ktown. Doubt Friend is fired but advised to seek another job.
Also AV has been wrong before, maybe he is now.

Seeing that JP had issues with Tyson Helton and Jim Chaney would tell me a lot if I was an up and coming OC. No way I'd coach for JP. Wish he'd fire the Dline Coach 1st.

He will probably go 4-6 and keep his job. Auburn and Gus will crap the bed against us and we beat the Commodedores. USC hires Sarkisian and the Barn gets Freeze.

Then if the administration won't do the dirty work, they may have to go too. AV I appreciate everything you bring to the board and the work you do with the AD, but the status quo is clearly toxic. Has been for nearly 20 years now. Something has to change, because building back at Johnny Majors speed (10 years for 1st conference championship) won't cut it anymore.

You can set a clock by the consistency of Volnation. We have THE COACH that must be brought in to bring UT back (Freeze). There is no doubt he will be great if he comes here. But he will be great somewhere else because PF won't hire him. And no other coach but Freeze can fix the situation at UT. Rinse, repeat. We do this every time we need to replace a coach. And every time THE COACH that Violation says is the 1 guy we must get, that coach has gone on to flop somewhere else. I still remember how amazing Chip Kelly was going to be at UT

Pruitts old school 3 yards and a could of dust football will cost him his job!...it’s easy to see that he hung his hat on this OL being able to push people around so that the run game could take a lot off of JG and did the complete opposite.just super lazy off-season football

I bet he’d take SC or AUB. He’s not going to wait around on UT who is clearly prolonging the inevitable.

Agents are not stupid. Would use SC to get Auburn to move. He wants Auburn but would take SC if Auburn waited too long. Probably doesn’t see UT as an option and is probably correct.

Bo Davis and Tosh fix the DL problems and bring top talent immediately...Pruitt needs more creativity on the O side big time like a Hugh freeze but he won’t entertain thar along with the Philosophy being different..I would definitely entertain Tee just because he is a west coast offense guy.

I don’t think Chaney is bad but he’s a bad fit with Pruitt. So while we will likely need to make a change, we’ll end up with someone like Larry Scott at the helm.

Crazy part is isn’t that reason he hired Chaney was because he trusted him and was going to let him run the offense?

Hell we probably couldn't survive 2 and we've just been permanently dead the entire post-Dooley era, and Josh Dobbs was the only thing that managed to breathe some semblance of zombie-esque life into the program for a few years.

Wasn't Tyson Helton a West Coast guy? Idk Pruitt seems to have a lot of staff issues. I would love to see Tee succeed as WR coach then OC and one day HC.

I'm pessimistic but also intensely apathetic. I've just given up. If someone said we won't finish with a winning record once in the next ten years, I think I'd nod and think "I could see it."
