Pruitt does not coach to keep games close. even when behind by double digits he takes chances which often times leads to blow outs but sometimes leads to a come back (i.e. UI bowl game on side kick). Remember in the UF game last year when he kept calling all out blitzes and lead to UF hitting several scores in the second half that made the score larger, but he was trying to get the ball back and create a turnover. Butch would play conservative to try to keep game close because he was all about PR.
I am in quarantine by the state department of health because someone (who they cannot name) thought they were around me on a day (they cannot recall) and that someone tested positive for Covid. If I violate the quarantine, then I am breaking my governors executive order which is being challenged in the state Supreme Court. In the meantime, the state department of health has my phone number and want to track my progress over the 14 day quarantine.

If we execute, we can be successful.I want Bailey to start from here on out. However, I'm just not sure if we're good enough on offense to only run 30-40% of the playbook and have much success. So, I feel like its probably safe to say that we will have musical chairs at QB from here on out unless 1 of the 4 just balls out. I'm not even worried about wins and losses at this point or "who gives us the best chance at success". I just want to see the "somewhat" competent offense we had in the Missouri game. Ill take that over the last 6 quarters we've had.
Are you in Michigan?I am in quarantine by the state department of health because someone (who they cannot name) thought they were around me on a day (they cannot recall) and that someone tested positive for Covid. I don’t really think or at least I truly hope no one really wants Pruitt to be fired. I believe everyone just wants Pruitt to try anyone other than JG at QB since he is obviously not getting it done. And him continuing to trot JG out is basically feeling like a big slap to all Vol fans.Idk who in here exactly needs to hear this but you don’t want Pruitt fired. You just don’t. You’re either just still emotionally charged or really, really stupid.
If you lose Pruitt, you risk the following:
-The collapse of a top 10 recruiting class in which we’d be scrambling to make top 25 while Alabama and Georgia grab all of our elite players. You think a guy like Kaidon Salter is gonna come to a school halfway across the country to a coaching staff he doesn’t know or can’t visit?
-Henry To’oto’o transferring back our West because Neidermeyer is gone
-Crouch transferring to an NC school
-Darnell Wright transferring back to WVU
-Harrison Bailey checking out to go somewhere else
-Most of the 2020 guys on defense transferring out
-Anyone that has any decent chance of going pro doing so instead of trying to up their stock (meaning the loss of Cade Mays, Bryce Thompson who are definitely guys that could stick around another year).
and another thing: who you gonna go get? Urban Meyer is NOT walking through the front door guys. The athletic department just doesn’t have the coin for that and the boosters wont pay up, plus what would his price be anyways? Probably too much.
PJ Fleck would not be given the time to build a team here. I’m not even sure he’d cut it in the SEC. Plus would he leave probably the safest job in America that’s not Clemson for somewhere where we want coaches canned in year 3 if they’re not torching everyone we play.
At the VERY best we’d be able to get Billy Napier, who has I think will be a good HC eventually but why hire a guy right now who only has had 1 good year at UL Lafeyette.
Idk about y’all but I don’t want to fire our current head coach, lose a ton of good players on the roster already and have our best recruiting class in a VERY long time fall apart just to end up with Dan Lanning or Mike Elko as a HC because we couldn’t afford anyone else
