I seriously don't blame him for JG. I've written JG off as a kid that just cannot be coached. Breaks under pressure. Don't get me wrong, I respect his grit, but he just can't get it done. What I blame Weinke for is that none of the other QBs are ready. He's had Maurer and Shrout for awhile now, yet we're afraid to let either see the field? That's poor coaching IMO.

I agree. My beef isn't about JG. It's about no one being ready to beat him out.

Tifwiw but I have a good source that says the police was called to the Pruitt home on Saturday night and the DL Coach was their drunk challenging Pruitt to fight him over the Way the team practices. Pruitt kids were signing rocky top at the time and the cop thought it was a domestic issue and Pruitt made a deal with the cops that he would fire the coach and never play JG again if he didn’t write up a formal

You don't fire a guy midseason to replace him with someone else, even it were Tosh. That's unprofessional and a bad look. The more I think about it, there are really only two choices. Option 1, Brumbaugh did something. This is the more likely choice. Option 2, Pruitt is not who we thought he was and we're screwed. I don't want it to be that option. I pray to God it's not that. But logically, those are the only two things that make sense. There is no way Brumbaugh was legitimately fired over the performance of a DL that stuffed UGA twice at the goal line.

If Pruitt starts JG against Bama, we are conceding defeat to our biggest rival. I know that we do not have a shot to beat them, but you cannot send that message to your fans. Pruitt will lose his team and the fan base if JG continues to play. He has no other option than to play Bailey for the future. If not, the wheels are coming off after a bad year and it will only be a matter of time for Pruitt.

Option 1 is more likely. Could have done something that’s not illegal but not tolerated for a coach. Let’s hope that’s the case.

If it’s a legal violation I think they’ll fire “with cause” right? Then that info will come out.

Let’s not consider option 2 ugh.

Pruitt better pray Bailey plays well and leads this team to a strong finish. It seems like we have no other options at QB even though Maurer showed promise. His biggest coaching mistake was not getting a grad transfer QB and not moving on from JG and Shrout. We should have taken two grad transfers and let those two walk. It scares me that he thought we would be ok with them as our primary QB’s. There are no for sure wins other than Vandy, but would anyone be satisfied with three wins in year three? Our recruiting class would tank and you might as well start over then. Just IMO.

Nah, them not being in shape probably has more do due with them not working out on their own during COVID. There were talks that more than one DL was considering opting out, right up until the week of USCe. It might have been those two guys. I guess you could put that on Brumbaugh (you should have had a better idea of where these guys were)...but more likely them being out of shape has nothing to do with the firing.
