Seems like every team in America stands their QB up at the line and has them look to the sideline for the audible. We aren't doomed. Pruitt is still the guy in my opinion. Even with marginally good QB play, we could win 4 or 5 games.
I think Bailey is the guy, but I don't think he knows the offense well enough or how to audible to another call based on the front of the defense. Something your QB NEEDS to do in order for the offense to be successful. That leaves you one or two routes to go. Start Shrout and hope that he's more competent than JG or Start Bailey and take your chances on him, and hope he learns as he goes.
Yup. I would feel WAY worse about us if we had been even in TOs but UK outgained us by 200 yards and beat us by the same score. That would say they straight up whipped us play for play. But that isn't the case...we were basically tied in yards but -3 TOs...2 pick sixes. To be honest, I’m still pretty high on this team. We aren’t as bad as we looked yesterday. That was a team that was truly deflated. If we can get good/consistent QB play then we’ll be fine
This baffles me. Why not keep an H-back next to QB to give more pass protection? We are decent to good across the interior of the OL, especially on run blocking. Most of this pressure isn't coming up the middle. The 5 start OT's are both hitting a sophomore slump, and we don't have any RB's or TE's who give us anything in pass blocking.
That’s so dumb. Do you think Trevor Lawrence needed a web coach to win the natty against Bama his freshman year? Some people just have itYa know, i want Bailey to be the guy as much as any of you do. but honestly what good is a QB that doesnt have a good qb coach? wouldnt be any different than JG in my opinion. Until we get a legitimate QB coach or Chaney starts working with them directly we will keep getting mediocre outcomes from that position no matter whos there unfortunately.
The defense is coming along pretty well imo. It is still a couple of talent infusions and a real off-season or two of development away from greatness...but if you can't see the vast improvement already over the total incompetence we have had on that side if the ball the last decade or so...then people are blind.I think the defense has been decent to good. Can be much better.

I've told you guys all along. The only way to watch Tennessee is to record the game and, if they win, watch the recording. If they lose, delete the recording. It's the only way to go. Saves me tons of heartache and frustration. Been doing this for years and it works.Spot on. I live and breath this stuff. Even this week I'll listen to every podcast and read every tweet, and spend countless time on these forums. I wish I was more of a generic casual fan. You know - the kind you see out in town wearing your teams shirt and you ask if they saw the game, and they respond with "Naw, when did they play." Such peace it must be to be that guy.
Weinke has no business being a QB coach. I’ve said it before: there’s a reason why we had him here as an analyst and then a RB coach or whatever. He had coached QB’s before, if he were good at it, he would’ve gotten another job as a QB coach. He wouldnt have been coaching RB’s. He also can’t recruitSo it’s coaching...
