We aren't doomed. Pruitt is still the guy in my opinion. Even with marginally good QB play, we could win 4 or 5 games.

I think Bailey is the guy, but I don't think he knows the offense well enough or how to audible to another call based on the front of the defense. Something your QB NEEDS to do in order for the offense to be successful. That leaves you one or two routes to go. Start Shrout and hope that he's more competent than JG or Start Bailey and take your chances on him, and hope he learns as he goes.

But the coaches could help Bailey out with a check with me offense.

You have to start Bailey. Pruitt can use it as an excuse when we lose and all will be forgiven because he's true freshman

You give it to the QB the team is most likely to fight for. We're in every game that the defense keeps us in.

Yeah I just went back and looked at the first pick. JG had two guys open on the back side of the play and never looked their way. Had one guy on a curl right at the sticks and then another who was breaking over the middle behind the linebackers. Instead he opened up to the wide side and made his mind up without reading the coverage. He was going to the out before the ball was snapped.

Yes in some scenarios but Chaney wants to go uptempo. They would have to adjust the offense for Bailey. I also think that's why they've been stubborn with JG because he knows which calls to make based on the defensive front.
There’s no need for this team to go up tempo though. We aren’t deep enough on defense to keep putting them out on the field. I don’t get why we don’t go with a ball control Style of ball. Especially with our offensive line. We ran it pretty damn well yesterday

So on the second pick. Yes I like punishment.
The linebacker made a nice play he opened up to the receiver but quickly got his hips back around to make the play on the ball after JG release it. But one the HB was wide open and could've gotten 6 or 7 yards easy. Two if JG hold the ball just a bit longer and makes a better throw past the opposite hash he may have been able to fit the ball in. Three Wright absolutely got whipped on the play by 22 and was sitting on his ass when JG released the ball

How often do you think JG is calling an audible? It seems that our coaches are doing that and he is looking for the audible from the sidelines. Bailey will be just fine. He is way better than JG. I’m tired of getting our teeth kicked in.

On Shrouts pick. One it was preceded by a chop block which put us behind the chains. Two the pass pro was actually pretty good and both the TE and RB had good chip blocks before going out on the route. Three Shrout basically stared down his number one on the play the whole way. Four, Shrout had Chandler underneath and could've hit him for a decent gain to get it back to third and ten or so. Our quarterbacks have a bad habit of staring receivers down and not making reads all the way across.

They need to adjust the offense...regardless of QB.

HB did it on his pass plays also

Joey Kent is on a post game call in show on 104.5 in Nashville. He said Shrout should have never made that throw “he just can’t “. Said it was his opportunity and doubtful he plays again. I inferred this was a consistent problem for him (making throws he shouldn’t which is somewhat backed up by his HS stats.
