CJP's take baffles my mind. Has he ever criticized JG. This practice warrior crap is getting old. He looks good Monday - Friday....Saturday he looks like he doesn't know what is going on.

Obviously they haven’t been putting enough pressure on JG in those practice sessions, or most players to be honest: we play how we practice and they better figure out how to practice harder

No trey was telling people how he doesn't want to hear "JG slander" like it's some referendum on the fan base and not the play on the field. It's also coming from the leader of a unit that has been grossly underwhelming and got manhandled two games in a row now.
The RB's averaged 5 yards per carry yesterday. Those are not underwhelming stats. The problem is that UK did what UGA did and run blitzed because JG is JG. Without a competent QB, we are 1 dimensional.

I think from the perspective of being an athlete. The defense fired back everytime until it was obvious the coaches weren’t going to call offensive plays to even try to win. The first two failed drives of second half made it clear they had tucked their tails and so the defense lost hope. The 3rd and 19 draw play down 17 was the white flag from the offense. After that defense energy was gone.

All things considered, I’ve got zero complaints about the defense. Zero. Yes, they’ve had problems stopping the slant, and yes, they appear to have quit in the second half yesterday. But overall, they’ve played well enough to win every game. The issues that caused the SCAR game to even be close and the last 2 games to be blow outs are 100% on JG and the offense.

Oh he was actually defending JG?..wow what trooper that must have been a difficult interview...trey is a Good teammate but he should call it like it is..the team is obviously missing something and it’s a leader on that side of the ball who will win us games...can’t hide it.trey has had his on run in’s with JG bama game being one of them.
Media shouldn't be asking Trey about JG. It's not on the players to comment on each other in a negative light. It goes against the very concept of team. Those questions should be reserved for the coach.

I think it’s what the elite players see that they’d have to play around. I remember playing safety knowing I couldn’t trust my corners half the time to wrap up tackles so I’d have to be almost down in the box to not get ran all over. Made us vulnerable to have it thrown over our head too often but luckily most schools we played couldn’t throw the deep ball 😂
Hopefully Burrell and Key show some stuff that make some top guys want to come play here. Also we need to do whatever we can to get Green in this class. I realize we probably aren't going to end up with a top 5 class. But we need some elite guys in every class that the coaches develop and get em drafted so other can see it and be like hey if they made him a first round pick then maybe they'll make me one

Pass protection was an issue in the bits that I saw. It's not just the OL. Believe me when I say this, JG doesn't need to dress out anymore. It's the same as GA in that the OL wasn't who they should be and was a consistent problem but JG made the catastrophic mistakes again. It's HB time and the line needs to man up and take pride in themselves.

Not directly call like it is towards a player..but definitely address the elephant in the room and next week👀😂

I think JG still has a hyperinflated view of his own abilities and prospects as a QB and is so afraid of making mistakes that he paradoxically makes a crap ton of mistakes. He’s always thinking instead of doing. So it makes him slow to react and throw.

He’s also certainly a head case at this point after the constant bench, play, bench, play charade that has been going on for years. He was probably damaged goods after 2017 and yet here we are in 2020 and he’s still playing.

I like our defense, but I can see lots of room for improvement. Not dissing them at all, just saying there's plenty of room for growth, starting with consistency. But they're in a much better place than our offense.

The line needs to get better push, and we need better pass rushing. That's a must. Tackling has to improve, and secondary play has not been great. Very little anticipation or jumping routes, and we cannot defend the slant at all. Given our head coach and DC, I'd expect more from our DBs than what we've seen. Their goal line stands have been amazing, but we need to see that intensity every play, not just when the other team is close to scoring.

And none of that is said to downplay our defense, just honest criticism of what I've seen.

Sounds like he hasn't learned to strain or do things the right way or is that just for everyone else?

If I were Pruitt, I'd restrict media access to players. Media looks to create a story at the expense of chaos. Young guys don't need that extra headache of having to consider what they're saying. Let their focus be on getting better. Questions about individual players should be directed to the coach, and only to the coach.

Pass protection has been a wet paper towel the last two weeks.

The OL has underperformed overall. Even with that, JG needs to go.

Our tackles keep getting beat. Johnson has been hurt, and Wanya and Wright just aren't getting coached very well. JG needs to be benched, Will Friend needs to do his job or be replaced.
