JG WILL cost us a game. He will never be consistent.

Our OL looked improved. Protection was good and holes were made for the RBs.

RBs looked sharper. Chandler in particular looked better to me.

Velus is dangerous. Every time he touches the ball he can score.

Wish we got to see Hyatt. Hope to see his speed soon.

DBs were a mess. They had 1 guy to cover and couldn't. Learn to defend the slant!

WRs were solid. Palmer, Keyton, and Johnson did a good job.

DL was decent. Not really much else to say.

Deandre Johnson was everywhere. Great game hope he can play at that level all year.

TooToo is thriving. Helluva pick 6.

Banks is talented but WAY too aggressive. Stupid penalties can cost us games.

Elijah Simmons literally made me laugh when I saw how massive he was. Hope he makes an impact.

Chaney is too pass happy. We had the run game working but never really stuck to it.

Special teams needs a lot of work...

Need Shamburger, Burrell, and Tank healthy. Can't have guys playing out of their position again.

No major injuries thank God. Hope to get Middleton back next week.

Kicking that long field goal was the wrong call. Go for it.

Lots of people, outside of SC, will agree with that last sentence. I believe JG is gonna have a really solid senior year. It's not fair to judge our team on the first game with limited practice time due to the unusual events this year.

Teams make errors first game . Jitters. JG makes the same mistakes regardless of practice time . He was awful in the bowl game . It should have been his coming out party.

You can love him as vfl and still hate his game.

It seemed to me that we threw the deep ball too many times on third down and didn't connect. Those just killed too many drives. Most teams will try to convert the yardage necessary to keep the drive alive on third down. I would like to see us do more of that and put together 10 play drives.

we were having success running the ball. but, no rhyme or reason. three good runs in a row, then back to pass 5 times.

JG had his best days last year when he could get momentum in intermediate game. i really liked lining up big set. he could do great things out if bg set, off PA. But wth do i know? App jack ****.

You can love him as a VFL, hate his game, and accept that he is on a short leash. It is what it is.

3 punts and 1 FG attempt on USCjr's 29-45 yard line on 4th down. We definitely left points on the board by handing over possession with 1 play left. We left about 2.5-3 expected points on the field by doing so.

Real surprised. Thought this would be the season he gets snaps but learns the intricacies as he went along. Skipped that step! And there was no advance warning!
