You’re right. JG’s decision-making was well above the norm for conference QB play this week. Further, he didn’t turn the ball over. He missed some open guys, but outside of Joe Burrow last year, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a QB who didn’t. Was JG perfect? No. Does he have some things to work out mechanically with his delivery before week 2? Absolutely. Did he consistently pick the right place to throw the ball, while never threatening a bad turnover? You’re darn skippy he did. Frankly, if he serves as a game manager, that’s probably good enough this season to win more than half of our ball games.
