2020 Presidential Race

The part I found crazy when I watched the debates was how the candidates attacked Bernie and especially little mike but pretty much left Joe alone when he was the favorite.

It's because Biden was circus monkey material. They could've buried him but I'm sure they had already started hearing the plan behind closed doors. The only one out of the loop was Bernie and the jackweeds that weren't already in Washington.

I assume Trump makes money off the sales of Trump memorabilia. If so, the presidency has been a lucrative gig for him.

Anybody know what's the story on the money earned from the sale of Trump merch???
I’m not sure how it works but for all these stores to be carrying them..... they have to be selling them I would guesss....my father in law bought a trump is coming 2020 game of thrones shirt at the beach.

Same here. I've seen first hand a lot of enthusiasm for Trump and almost zero for Biden but I see daily how Trump is behind in the polls and is so unpopular.
I have seen how they have to do polls now( can’t really remember the steps) but I remember thinking there is no way these polls can be accurate..... that doesn’t mean Biden won’t win though.

But what's the point of producing polls which are inaccurate? Pollster's reputations are tied to accuracy. And, I assume, their client list and revenue is tied to their predictive ability.

Who knows. There are people making big bucks as social media influencers so I don’t see it as a big stretch to say pollsters could be brought to influence opinion instead of measuring it.

Couldn’t you say the same about the news media....... the left loves the polls that say their candidate will win and the right loves the polls that says that they are going to win. I don’t know if accuracy in anything matters anymore.

I don't know they can conduct a poll these days with any accuracy. My own kids won't even answer the phone when they know I'm calling from my phone, but they'll get right back with a text so pollsters can't just randomly call people and expect a reliable answer. Online polls would be totally unreliable as people could just answer questions to sabotage the rival party. Nobody I know is going to stop and answer a poll from some random stranger. So where do these poll numbers come from?

So, I assume if he were to try this, you would actively oppose it?

By "actively oppose it" do you mean by screeching about it in VNPF or taking up arms and storming Capitol Hill?

Anonymous sources again?

I assume if it's coming from the Atlantic, it is very likely not an objective piece given the track history and publisher's cozy little relationship with the Biden campaign.
