Grain of salt and all, but a VQ poster said his daughter at UT is saying rumors they could shut down and go online within the next few days. Oof. Hopefully it's nothing, but nothing would surprise me these days.

Wonder how our numbers look on campus - @ChattaTNVol?

That rumor has gone around at every school around the nation. It’s based mostly around the notion that schools got federal $ for starting on campus for a period of time or they have to pay that $ back. Not sure how much all that is true but the rumor is everywhere on campuses.

My son is a junior over there, on the hill. He is a commuter. He rarely goes to campus. He calls his classes hybrid. All lectures online and he goes for labs. He's ticked too. He says they're compensating by loading them up with work. Some classes have assignments due 7 days a week. They've shortened the semester too by eliminating all holidays and fall break.
Exactly how it is at Arkansas. We’re “on campus” but every single one of my classes are “remote” (online/zoom). Even if you want in person labs, you’re only allowed to go every other week. I just went ahead and chose remote labs. Not even in Fayetteville yet, still kicking it in hot springs where I can play more golf lol

Interesting the attorney said they submitted a "request to reconsider"...so maybe we are actually doing a Reconsideration first and will still have a full appeal attempt in our back pocket. Though this would fall on ncaa staff to work, unlike an appeal. Though according to Deerpark, they apparently will still be working cases during rotational furloughs...but who knows how quickly.

Or maybe that was just his choice of words.
To piggyback, the FF (I know) is also saying Hyams stated we have filed a Reconsideration, not an Appeal.

That was your wife I saw yesterday driving in North Carolina in a White SUV with “N Vol” on the license plate wasn’t it !

God I love you 💖

If I was an opposing team, I would use the local contact tracing policy against us. Let's say I am Muschamp and I say (regardless if it's true) that one of the USCe players has tested positive right after the UT game. It seems like that would put UT in the position to have to quarantine players that might have come in contact during the game. That would put us at a serious disadvantage going forward into the next two games. That would give USCe a shot at a better record overall. We could see some biological warfare this season...
